My name is Eftychia Datsika and I am an experienced researcher in the field of Mobile Telecommunications (LinkedIn, Github, ResearchGate, Scholar) with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry. I am currently working as IT consultant focusing on Smart Cities applications in the ICT department of Municipality of Ioannina, Greece.
Recently, I have been a member of Baseband Lab, Huawei Technologies, Sweden. Previously, I was a researcher at IQUADRAT Informatica S.L., Spain. My research interests lie in the areas of mobile and wireless network architecture design and performance optimization.
I hold a PhD degree (2018, UPC Best Doctoral thesis award in ICT, 2020) focused on QoS-oriented 5G network resource management from Signal Theory and Communications (TSC) Department, Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain, an MSc degree (2012) with thesis focused on wireless sensor network cross-layer optimization and a BSc degree (2010) in Computer Science, University of Ioannina, Greece.
I have gained significant teaching experience working as an instructor of Informatics related courses in various public institutions in Greece. I also hold a Pedagogical Proficiency certificate (ASPETE, 2014).
