Teaching
I implemented the teaching methods and technology (activities / games / experiments) I learned as a TA in my sole instructor course "Principles of Microeconomics", and they worked great! Unlike graduate level courses that, require thinking deeply and rigorously about all aspects of an issue, the 3-to-5-minute activities introduced right before each topic for my intro class generated student interest and made them more eager to learn the materials (Check student feedback from my Teaching Portfolio). Through a host of creative and interactive class activities and structured lectures, students learned about the economic way of thinking and, by and large, how economists view the world. They also developed the ability to think analytically about economic issues. By the end of the semester, my students were equipped with both a specific set of analytical tools and an understanding of how to apply them to current policy issues (Check student essay samples about the Affordable Care Act from my Teaching Portfolio).
