Open Source Software

We participate in a project called Pinax. Pinax is an open-source collection of integrated, but reusable apps for the Django Web Framework.

All of our current software uses Django, and the cohousing application uses Pinax. Since Django is built on the Python programming language, and we use open-source web server and database software, that means our software is open-source from top to bottom. And all of our software uses non-restrictive licenses like MIT or BSD.

That means you can do whatever you want with it, with no license fees or restrictions.

With the rest of the Pinax crew, we plan to develop software for administering open-source software development groups. That will be coming up some time next year.
