Assuming 10% of energy is transferred from one trophic level to the next, calculate and state the amount of energy transferred from

• 1. the grass to the cow

  2. the cow to the man.

Based on your calculations and using ideas on the efficiency of energy transfer, suggest why it is better to eat vegetables than beef. Present your group’s findings on a writing paper.
