Students study at a level that will help them learn. MATC English levels are 1 - 6.
Oral Communication, Reading/Writing, & Workshop classes are taught at all levels.
Advanced Grammar, Pronunciation, Conversation, and Citizenship classes are offered for some levels.
Many students register for 3-4 hours of class time per day.
Classes at this level are designed for students who cannot speak or understand English and who have no or minimal reading and writing skills.
Class options: Oral Communication, Reading/Writing, Workshop
Classes at this level are offered in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Classes at this level are designed for students who can understand basic greetings and simple phrases and commands and who can read numbers, letters, and some basic sight words.
Class options: Oral Communication, Reading/Writing, Workshop, Pronunciation

Classes at this level are designed for students who can understand and read common words, phrases, and sentences and who show limited control of grammar.

Classes at this level are designed for students who can understand and read simple learned phrases and sentences and who have some control of basic grammar.

Classes at this level are designed for students who can understand learned phrases and read and understand texts on familiar subjects and who show some control of more complex grammar.
