The mission of the Ebinport Elementary Library Media Program is to foster a love of reading and future-ready skills within every student. The library media center strives to provide the school community with a wide range of materials and instruction in order to create lifelong readers, critical thinkers, skillful researchers, ethical users and producers of information in a global society.

Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
Friday: 7:30am - 2:45pm
Media Center Schedule and Visits
All classes will have regularly scheduled library time throughout the school year.
Students are welcome to return and/or checkout books during library hours and with the permission of their classroom teacher (please no more the four students at a time).
Teachers are encouraged and welcome to schedule a separate class library visit as needed when there are no regularly scheduled classes.
Teachers may send groups of no more than four students at a time to conduct research or work on projects when there are no regularly scheduled classes.
Check Out Policy
Students will have the opportunity to return and check out books during their regularly scheduled class time. They may also do so during library hours and with their classroom teacher's permission.
Students are able to check out the following number of materials based on their grade level:
Kindergarten - 1 item
1st - 3rd grades - 2 items
4th - 5th grades - 3 items
Students may check out books for a period of two weeks. Check out privileges will be limited or restricted if students have an excessive number of lost or non-returned books.
Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Books
Students will not be charged late fees for overdue books. However, check out privileges may be restricted due to an excessive amount of overdue materials.
Students are taught book care at the beginning of each school year. They are encouraged to take good care of library materials. However, accidents do happen. If a book is accidentally damaged, parents/students should not attempt to repair it. The book should be brought immediately to the library so that the librarian can repair it and return it to circulation if possible. However, if a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student will be required to pay to replace the book. Payment for a lost book will be reimbursed if the book is found and returned in good condition within the nine week period that the payment is made.
