My research focuses on the economic analysis of the cultural and creative sectors, at the intersection of public economics, political economy, economic geography and institutional analysis. I study how incentives, public policies and institutional arrangements shape the production, consumption and governance of culture, and how cultural assets and creative activities contribute to local and regional development. My work ranges from the economics of the provision of culture as a collective good, to the economic geography of cultural and creative industries, the digital transformation of cultural organizations and the economic effects of heritage designations, drawing on applied econometrics and policy-evaluation methods.
