Help Circles

“Help Circles” are forming on a block by block basis – to help support each other to gather essential supplies, share key neighbor information, and practice steps to take during an emergency. Help Circle members are also encouraged to take free Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) with the City of Richmond for search and rescue, first aid, fire suppression, etc.

Check out the resources below and on the Quake-Safe Household page to help you in getting ready with your neighbors.

If you have any questions and/or would like help connecting up your block, please contact the ERH Emergency Preparedness Team Co-Captains. Team members are available to meet with you and your block neighbors to help you in any way possible.

In 95% of emergencies, bystanders or victims themselves are the first to provide emergency assistance or to perform a rescue.*
