This is a 1973 U15 with half cab that I found in Torrington, WY and moved to Virginia. It has 50,000 original miles and is a two owner Bronco.
As with most early Broncos, when you pull up the floor mat, you always find the gems that the prior owner left for you. The driver and passenger floor pans had been repaired with steel, coated with some sort of tar, and covered up with the business section of the Gillette, WY newspaper from September 30, 1990 to keep the rubber floor mat from sticking to the tar.
So the first step was cutting the floor out on both sides, to find the steel had been braised in after it was screwed in (and through the aux fuel tank).
Next we started the process of putting in a two inch body lift.
Front and rear fenders cut. Started rear spring lift for 4.5 inch suspension lift.
Suspension lift going on rear axle.
Front suspension going in.
Rear shock jock mount
Headers and Front Disc Brakes going in.
Rear Flares go on, fitting rock skis, and finally putting on 35" tires.
Up on all four tires and Linex bed liner goes in.
Fitting up the rear bumper; Rock Skis mounted; front roll cage goes in.
Front bumper goes on; Rear roll bar goes on; Top back on; Rear bumper mounted.
Tire carrier and fuel can carrier mounted on rear bumper; cans and tool box; and finally tubbie speakers go in.
