The program listens to music on your device through microphones or speakers and detects the melody using a service on the Internet.
The result is displayed on the screen and send in the clipboard (in the format of the original program: I used MusicSource to discover Money For Nothing by Dire Straits) and outer program. If you click on the track block, you are redirected to the corresponding page of the service, if you right-click with the Ctrl key pressed, the data is resent to the Data for LastFM program. Here you can also use the context menu (appears by right-clicking): copy the title of the track or the artist's name to the clipboard, re-send data to the program Data for LastFM.
The text in the clipboard can be parsed by the Data for LastFM program, and the resulting track will be scrobbled by the Last.fm service.
The program is controlled by buttons, switches, keyboard shortcuts, context menus and Tray Icon:
Identify! – button to start the track identification process (Left-click or Ctrl-L) and to view statistics (Right-click or Ctrl-I);
📋– copy the result of identification to the clipboard;
⚗️– send the result of identification to the Data for LastFM program;
🎙️🎤 – listen to microphones;
🎧🔉 – listen to playbacks;
🎤🎧 – listen to all available devices or to default only;
⏲ 👆 – work in auto (process start periodically) or manual mode (in the automatic mode, if the switch for sending results to LastFM service is off, information about the track is additionally displayed in the system notification.);
🎨 – button to switch the color theme and the background image (with Ctrl + Alt pressed);
Ctrl+Alt+H – hide the program window out of sight;
Left-click on the tray icon – Show/Hide program window;
Right-click on the tray icon – close the program.
The descriptions of the recognized tracks are clickable. Left-clicking on the title or artist will bring up the track page on the service in your browser. Right-clicking on an image displays it in a larger size.
