About Me
I am an Electrical Engineer specialized in Power Electronics. I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of School of Computing and Electrical Engineering, IIT Mandi.
I received my B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, India, in 2011. Driven by a strong passion for academics, I served as a faculty member in an engineering college for over a year after graduation. I also worked as an Assistant Manager at Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) before pursuing higher studies.
I obtained my M.Tech. degree in Power Electronics from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2015, and subsequently completed my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2023. My doctoral research focused on the domain of smart transformers (ST) and ST-based meshed hybrid microgrids. The work addressed key aspects such as power management, islanded operation, islanding, and re-closure.
During my Ph.D., I was selected for the Intel India Research Fellowship Program (2021–22), and my doctoral work was recognized with the Grid India Power System Award (GIPSA) 2024 in the Doctoral Category.
Following my Ph.D., I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Electrical Sustainable Energy at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Netherlands. My research at TU Delft focused on the development of modular multi-energy systems, particularly integrating large-scale electrolyzers with HVDC wind energy systems.
My current research interests include applications of power electronics in power systems, power converter design, and renewable energy integration.
Although being aligned pretty much in the academic line, I have a strong affinity towards pursuing my interests in music and other extra-curricular activities. Some of my works in such fields are also incorporated in this website.
