GAINING DIMENSION POWER (DP)
REVIVING A CHARACTER
DIMENSION SPELLS
When a player gains DP, they represent this on their Dimension Circle by either:
1. placing a new token on the circle at the appropriate number
2. moving an already placed token along the path, adding the new number
For Example, Player A gains 24 DP.
She may either add a new token to her Circle, on the 24 space.
OR she may move another token (if she has one) on the Circle ahead 24 spaces.
A single DP Token can never increase beyond 60 DP.
if a Token goes below 1 DP it is removed from Circle
A character who has been killed during the game may be revived by any player (even the same player) by using DP. To do this, someone must sacrifice one of their DP tokens.
Doing this will revive one character. The value of the DP sacrificed divided by ten = the number of cards the revived player draws to re-enter the game. (Round UP)
Example: Player A sacrifices a DP token of value 48 to Revive herself. She revives with a hand (Speed) of 5 cards.
A revived character is placed at the back of the Marching Order.
Note: multiple characters may sacrifice DP tokens to contribute to a more powerful Revival, but each character may only sacrifice one of their tokens.
A player AT ANY TIME, may attempt a Spell.
To do this, they choose one of their DP tokens. Note it's value from 1 - 60 and divide by 10 (round up)
This number = the number of cards the player draws.
Spell Results depends on what types of cards are drawn:
Area Cards do not count as any Result
Each Item Card counts as one Success
Each Monster Card counts as one Failure
Each Trap Card counts as one Backfire
For each Failure, the used DP Token decreases in value by 1 point per Level you are in.
For each Positive, the Spell will have that much Power.
If ANY Backfire Cards are drawn, the Spell Fails automatically and that Trap is triggered!
WHAT IS THE SPELL EFFECT?
The Dimension Area wherein the most powerful Token exists (AFTER it may have moved and regardless of which Player owns that Token) = the Spell Type.
LUCK: Power = Remove that many Unsprung Traps or Wandering Monsters
STEALTH: Power = increase Party Speed by that amount when encountering a Monster
STRENGTH: Power = increase Damage to a Monster by that amount for an attack
RESOLVE: Power = Draw that many new cards and distribute them as desired
STRATEGY: Power = That number of next turns that can be any player (ignoring Marching Order), as decided by group.
SYNERGY: Power = Move that many DP Tokens (from other players) up as many space as current Dungeon Level
