Varsity Head Coach - Jackie Wilson
Jackie Wilson is entering her 17th season as the head varsity volleyball coach at Dublin Scioto High School, where she has built one of the most respected programs in central Ohio. Under her leadership, the Irish have captured seven consecutive conference championships (2019–2025), four district titles (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025), and regional runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2025.
Her success has been recognized at every level, earning seven OCC Coach of the Year honors (2018–2024), three Central District Coach of the Year awards (2020, 2023, 2024), and two State Coaches Achievement Awards (2023, 2024).
Before her coaching career, Wilson was a standout player at Capital University (2004–2008). She was part of an OAC Tournament Championship team and the only two squads in program history to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. As a freshman, she earned OAC Freshman of the Year honors (2004), and went on to become a two-time All-Conference selection, three-time Academic All-Conference honoree, two-time ESPN the Magazine All-District selection, and served as team captain and MVP as a senior. She graduated as Capital’s all-time digs leader with over 2,000 career digs.
A native of Lancaster, Ohio, Wilson now resides in Dublin with her husband, Zach, and their three daughters — Evelyn, Nora, and Ruth.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson is in his 6th season as the varsity assistant coach. He has served as the varsity boys head volleyball coach at Dublin Scioto High School previously as well.
Varsity Assistant Coach - Gweyn Zechman
Gweyn Zechman is Varsity Assistant coach. She spent 3 years as an assistant at Dublin Jerome High School. Gweyn has over 35 years of experience coaching volleyball at all levels from college (The Ohio State, New Mexico State, Washington State and Cameron University) high school, (Jerome, Grove City, Hilliard Davidson) to DYA. She has coached at Elite VBTC and played her college volleyball at New Mexico State University.
Junior Varsity-A Head Coach - Doug Arden
Coach Arden was the head boys volleyball coach at Dublin Scioto for 12 years, which included an OCC title in 2013 and a state semifinal appearance in 2017. Coach Arden also served as an assistant coach for the girls team at Scioto in 2015.
Coach Arden began his teaching career 22 years ago as a science teacher at Dublin Scioto, and is currently a science teacher at Emerald Campus in Dublin. He has a bachelor's degree from Tulane University, and master's degrees from Charles Darwin University (Darwin, Australia), and Miami University in Ohio.
Originally from the Chicago area, Coach Arden lives in Worthington with his wife and two sons.
Junior Varsity-B Head Coaches- Karleigh Rothe and Ashleigh Rothe
Coach Ashleigh Rothe is entering her first season as the JVB Volleyball Coach at Dublin Scioto High School. She previously spent six years coaching indoor and beach volleyball at Elite Volleyball Training Center. Coach Ashleigh is a Grand Valley State University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and an emphasis in Mathematics. While in college, she competed in women's lacrosse and became an All-American. She also represented the Mexico Women's National Lacrosse Team for 8 years. She is a Dublin Scioto alumna and completed four years on the varsity women's volleyball team as a setter and right-side hitter. She also played varsity basketball and lacrosse while attending Scioto. Coach Ashleigh is excited to give back to the program that shaped her as an athlete.
Coach Karleigh Rothe is in her first season as a coach at Dublin Scioto High School. A Dublin Scioto Volleyball alumna, she played four years of varsity volleyball under Coach Wilson as a middle hitter and outside hitter. She also represented the Mexico National Lacrosse Team for eight years before continuing her collegiate career at Grand Valley State University, where she played for five years. For the past six years, she has coached indoor and beach volleyball at Elite Volleyball Training Center. She is excited to return to Scioto and give back to the program that helped shape her as an athlete.
