Decision Support Systems Laboratory
The Decision Support Systems Laboratory was founded in 2001 at the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus. Its activities focus on the fields of decision support systems, performance measurement, knowledge and business process management, data analysis and recommender systems. The Decision Support Systems Laboratory participates in research projects and supports relevant courses and research, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The mission of the Decision Support Systems Laboratory is to address the challenging problems related to decision making in complex organizational and business environments, by advancing research and delivering solutions to real world problems related to addressing effectively and efficiently the needs of decision makers. Our view of decision making includes both model-driven mathematical approaches and data-driven deterministic and non-deterministic methods.
