Mission
The mission of the Down Syndrome Parent Support Group of Genesee County is to provide opportunities for persons with Down Syndrome and their families to engage productively and actively in community life.
Vision Statement
To promote public awareness of the positive contributions and enrichment that persons with Down Syndrome give to their families and communities.
Policy Statement
The Down Syndrome Parent Support Group of Genesee County, Inc. has been formed by people with a common interest, the improvement of lives of all persons who have Down Syndrome.
It is for this reason that we welcome ideas from other parents and guest speakers. We do not, however, as an organization, support or endorse any particular regime, treatment, or therapy.
What We Do
Our main goal is to support our members with Down Syndrome, as well as their families. We strive to provide numerous activities throughout the year to involve our members.
We offer to our member families:
- New Parent Packets
- Family Reimbursement
- Camping Scholarships
- National Conferences Scholarships
- Scholarships to High School Seniors
Whom We Serve
We serve the GLOW Region of New York State - Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming counties.
We always welcome new members and new families!
