A lot of the poetry I shouldn't bother to include, but if I only put in the good stuff, then it wouldn't really give you anything to compare it to. Plus, different people have different tastes, and some people actually like some of the poems that I can't stand!
I do hope you enjoy reading these, as much as I enjoyed writing them (ie Taylorsville and Math to name two).
I WILL make you one promise: If all you do is read these, then all you will get out of them is words. However, if you spend some time pondering the meaning behind the words, then you will have found a portal to my soul, and you will know more about what is on the inside of D. SKye than anyone that hasn’t read these.

Puzzling Yesterdays
The shadows of tomorrow
Remind me of the love we have:
Bubbling rivers flowing over hills,
The gold and silver bells ringing
Like thunder in our ears,
Telling us our hearts, are not
Full of tears.
Puzzling yesterdays we once had,
Now burn like fire
On a rainy day.

Tears
The tears we have:
Are rivers falling over cliffs
Like rain.
The clouds we see:
Only cover the rainbow
That waits behind.
The footprints we make:
Are of stars in the sky, on a
Clear September night.
The afternoons we spend together:
Are like golden geese flocking the sky.

Thus
Ordinary hearts, normal days.
Where is tomorrow if there is no today?
Striped mountains that cross each other,
Blowing out candles lit by another.
Finding new friendships that last
Through the future,
Never to shatter or stray far away,
Better forever, and thus.

Color
Beautiful colors twisting down a spiral staircase
Searching... Searching... The red, yellow, and
Orange, shining brightly, turning like a hurricane
Black and white, changing slowly.
Colorful flashes of light.

I did not know blocks could roll;
Who am I to tell the sun to rise?
That yellow light I could not see.
But somewhere a smile,
I have not met this soon before.
Why should I be prey of fright?
A melody I've sung before,
But different, I know not why.
The cats eye looks at me,
Holding something, deep within.
The power of the lion keeps me strong.
The things he tells:
The stars, the moon, the night.
The fiery dart pierced through his skin
Please, please let this night end.
The ice is melting, heat is near.
Alas, the dove has brought the sun.
I thank thee lion please forgive,
My light has melted all you had.
It was not possible,
But now cannot be stopped:
Science is dead and faith prevails.
I did not know that blocks could roll.

Friends
The bonds of our friendship are:
Birds soaring high above the
Troubles of the darkened earth below,
The faith that the sun will rise in the
Morning and set in the eve,
Green fields of rolling grass tumbling over
Hills and falling into valleys,
Bubbles floating higher and higher past
All stars in the vast reaches of space,
The tender touch, of friends forever.

Tears of Joy
Tears of joy run down my face.
Symbols tell me;
The old has come anew,
And the Bloodshed was inevitable.
The spirits of honor speak of the master
And his army of red.
The reasons are now in the open.
By the entrance to his kingdom
Another victory is won.
The last of the lovers
Have now found another,
Thanks to the Knight with
The golden hand.

Regret
The void is endless, Father Time is growing old.
I thought I saw life, but only a dream.
I was a fool to believe, why not?
The shadows are closing in, poison grips my shoulders.
I remember my thoughts:
My family, my friends, my girl.
She had a love deeper than others.
A goodbye, is all I have to remember her by now.
Strange is the meaning of life.
"Fare thee well, " my last words to her.
Now the light is gone the candle is burned out.
Now I have what's inside:
The kindness, the good, the love.
But it's too late, my time has passed.
Blackness is coming, feelings are going.
Too short
Too short is life...
Why now do I regret?
Why didn't I stay?
Why didn't I!
Why do I regret...

Now
Days past, where was I at?
Time's here, now I am.
Friends I had, friends I have.
Lonely days, warm nights.
The Oracle lied; lightning struck glass.
The joy of life once told a tale,
So I listened.
Now mine, a tale about the Unicorn,
His life, my love.
The dream I forgot, now I remember,
but different, without the Wizard.
I dropped the Orb, I thought I would die,
I talked to him, but it wasn't broke.
Dark was too close,
I couldn't forget,
So I slept.

Iridescence
Inlets of gold, calm flowing river;
Of glass, of fire.
In control.
A soft touch of wind blown past my face.
Pale leaves fall.
Thunder, no clouds, fair weather.
Dreams fulfilled, dreams forgotten.
Aching solace, longing interaction.
Life understanding.
Not a question of beauty,
But thought.
The truth aloud; told,
But embarrassingly, denied.
An iridescent love
Colors of a rainbow.
Bright bliss.

Once a burden; so heavy, sublime.
Once a pain; sharp, but unnoticed.
Once a debt; large, payable.
The unknowing destroyed.
A fear forgotten.
Promise restored.
Love endured.
Truth known.
Fresh.

The North Wind Sleeps
The songs of tomorrow, the joys of today.
Beauty and love. As the flowers,
Who humble themselves before winter.
The growth and life of spring.
Newfound friendships.
Diamond eyes, black and white,
Pierce the heart, search the soul.
The bear in hibernation, who sleeps
Through adversity, now awakes.
A new life, a new world.
Seeds that were dead burst forth
And mature, always needing water,
Always needing food.
Ice fades, white melts, revealing glorious
Colors: green, red, blue, violet.
Morning comes early; Bright sun, warm rays:
That call out the people, the animals, the trees.
Birds come back from lands afar,
Bringing new tales of
Warmth and joy-Alas.
Mentally renewed, with new
Strength and vigor.
While, the north wind sleeps.

Song of Hope
The race was won,
The strength was gone.
In life to fulfill,
I lost my will.
I thought I was strong,
I did not know,
I was wrong,
Where would I go?
My thoughts were mine,
A different time,
Of the olden day.
I lost my way.
In love of the past
I found my hope.
Time at last,
My golden rope.
In this song to sing
That my joy might bring
Above my life,
The growth of spring.

To You
The joys and hopes of life,
At one time my friends,
At one time my wife.
Dreams which are unfulfilled,
By the time it ends,
They will be my shield.
The strength of tomorrow,
The gift which it sends,
May fill my heart with sorrow,
It just all depends.
But if that strength were true,
And I could be with you;
Then to you I'd say,
"I love you," every day.

Marvelous
To the wizard I talked,
Often it was.
He taught me the secrets,
Showed me the spells.
I longed to be like him;
Thought he was perfect.
With only a blink, he could
Cast fire or rain;
A mere raise of his hand
Could cause earthquakes;
When he talked with thundering voice,
People stopped to hear his command.
With I as apprentice and he as teacher;
What a marvelous two,
Just me and you.

My Friend?
Truth was in my soul,
But how could I know,
Others that would lie.
A kiss for goodbye.
The one, who was true,
One day said to me,
"I don't care for you."
How can this, love be?
I talked to myself,
Put love on the shelf.
Now I am alone,
Never to go home.
Far away I went,
As far, as I could.
From this I was sent,
As I, any would.
Today is my day,
And this I will say,
My friend, I love you;
Do you love me too?

To Be With Thee
I was lost in the depths of love,
Destroyed, by fate's red hand.
My heart and soul I'd given;
I could not understand.
If I could change the way I feel...
But, then what the use this be?
'Twas false or was it real,
This love I've giv'n to thee.
The solace of my heart
Aches pain in every bone.
'Tis tearing me apart,
From the pain of bein' alone.
The joys are gone the birds have flown.
My sparkling eye no more.
To be with thee, my only wish,
From this, and ever more.

Taylorsville (Version one)
Bodies clashing, rumbling, tumbling.
Right side, left side, D-hall bumbling.
Upstairs, downstairs, six minutes that's all.
Chaos, disorder, in every hall.
Papers here, garbage there,
All around us, but who gives a care?
Clean it up, Pick it up; Too funny you say.
I don't. I know; I go here every day.
Teachers, speakers, what a bore;
I'd like to get up and walk out the door.
* Bell rings; All right! I'm outta' this class,
* Man, this teacher can just kiss my assignment.
Once again, out in the hall;
People all tramplin', like Christmas in the mall.
Locker, Shmocker; Stupid thing always sticks.
Haul off, far back, and give it a kick.
Every day, don't know if I'll survive.
Heck, I could be taken prisoner alive.
Home with a headache, take a pill;
Just a day in the life, at: Taylorsville!
____________________________________________________
Changed in version Two:
* Bell rings; All right! I'm outta' this room,
* Homework, homework, two days come real soon.
(Author was feeling particularly frustrated on the day of original writing)

Olfoxen Derryomé
The strength of society wanes,
But one still strong; Olfoxen Derryomé.
All are lost to war and pain,
But one still loves; Olfoxen Derryomé.
Money, grief, and toil,
But he has none; Olfoxen Derryomé.
All to other's plans they foil,
But he waits by; Olfoxen Derryomé.
While we destroy our planet,
Yes, he preserves; Olfoxen Derryomé.
Our hearts as hard as granite,
So why don't we learn
A lesson from Olfoxen;
But who may this he be?
An Olfoxen Derryomé?
Is it you? Is it me?
Nay I say, but look real hard
At the animals around you.
There may be some in your backyard,
So look at them and see,
Olfoxen Derryomé, how unlike is he,
To you, and me.

This Be This
Here it is; Here is life.
Strong light glowing; Bright sun.
Green leaves of hope.
Strong dark limbs of support.
Bright ambiance, colorful flowers.
From the leaves of fall,
To the growth of spring.
Like myself;
From death to life;
Friendship falls, love falls,
Life grows, light glows,
But what to come; Yes,
Spring ends, fall ends... Life ends.
Life is light; Light is hope; Hope is love;
Love is friends; A friend to be, or not to be?
Yes a question truly worthy of thought.
One with hope; But, with moral.
Learned by few, told by all,
So this, be this.

Never
Forms have fallen, light has passed.
Void endless scythe rips my soul.
No hope of death; no, not for years.
Mental fatigue, no room for thought.
No beauty to fill my heart.
New awakenings now lost to time;
Old enemies... Gone,
Old friends... Gone.
Old pain growing,
Strength, waning.
There is no depression. No!
But absence: joy, love, and life.
Hope; Only exists, not here.
Afraid; Afraid of fear!
Dark growing, grasping, clutching, pulling;
But no; I will not go.
A solid wall.
Love is lost, hope is lost, life is lost;
But never; Never, will I go.

Math
Numbers, blumbers on the board,
This teacher thinks my head's a gourd.
"Pie are square," What's he tryin' to say,
Pies have been round from the very first day.
"Solve this with FOIL," says he,
This ain't home economics, man that ain't for me.
Postulate smostulate, there's not even proof.
Math's really easy, but this guy is a goof.
Three whole pages on two plus two,
Doesn't he think I have better things to do.
Tired of homework each and every night.
I'd like to hop a plane and take the next flight.
They say "In the future this can help you." it can?!
How can math help me if I'm a garbage man?
Big stinkin' goal, ain't it you say.
If you hate math too,
It could be YOU--
Some day!

Last Day of School. (By A Senior)
Last day of school,
All right, this is cool.
Man I'm flyin'.
Geez this school is dyin'.
Kids running everywhere
Shaving cream in their hair;
No! wait; Not any more
Junior high's a bore.
Sign here and away,
There's just no other day.
Give a girl a kiss,
Wow, your in bliss.
Seniors gone for good
No more fire for the wood.
Sophomores can survive,
Even though they're not alive.
Juniors are a fool,
Not quite, but almost cool;
Another summer and that's all,
They'll come back in the fall,
And then like me they'll be
Another senior in ecstasy.

Friendship, and Love
Cool and warm, as the spring grass grows,
I grow too.
A winding river that finds its way through valleys,
I know my way.
A bright beam of sunshine,
Long is its way, straight is its path;
So far a distance, but still I receive its warmth.
Clouds o'rhead are not full of sadness,
but moisture for the deprived land below.
A light rain falls, happily received,
The Earth lapps it up, wanting every drop.
A soft breeze caresses my face,
Lukewarm fingers of wind go through my body.
I see you not far off,
I smile, you smile too.
The wind pushes us together.
We hug;
One of both,
Friendship, and Love.

All
Too many trials, too much pain,
Where is the sunshine, Why all this rain?
Why is the sky always 90% cloudy,
Instead of 10% sunny?
Is the optimist truly more bearing,
Or is the pessimist more in reality.
What can we find, good or bad,
When hit in the head with Aladin's lad.
Do we think of the pain that has fallen upon us,
Or celebrity joy for meeting such fame?
Would we rather have money,
Than friendship and love,
When hit on the head by a lad from above?
Too many holes, not enough fillers,
Like farmers and bakers and townsend millers.
Or millers daughters, yes they too are true,
From beginning to end unlike me and you.
But all in all, one thing stands tall,
Be optimistically happy, and get-up when you fall!

Melody
A melody I heard the other day.
It flowed through me, in a strange mysterious way.
I; Infatuated with its soft tones,
It filled my body, even to my bones.
A strong flowing song,
Which did fill my heart.
I tried to sing along,
Could not thus impart.
So glorious and high this song was sung,
That I could not tell from whence it begun.
Some say the soul of nineteen years,
But they in fact must have better ears.
This, my hope to bring,
In a better way.
This song I may sing,
Every single day.

Before
I sit secluded;
A social hole; Two corners.
The wall and floor lean against me,
But I hold them.
Soft fluorescent buzz.
Stairs lead away, not far.
I see you,
But I can't touch or speak to you.
Once I did, but I was lost,
I can't now.

The Time To Be
Today is today,
As away is a way,
Of being a friend
From beginning to end.
A bird in the eye,
Or a pie on the fly.
A way of hope,
A way of love.
A time to grope,
For up above.
Life is life,
As strife is strife.
Heard a bird,
Don't say a word.
Time's a gone,
A wayward song.
Forever hear,
The time to be,
Forever near,
You here to me.

See You
Long wistful solitude.
Lost in time; but moving.
Neither forward nor back;
But moving.
I look at you, and you,
Are moving,
But where.
Away from me,
But where.
I wonder if you see me;
You don't.
But do you want to,
You don't.
I wish I could touch you,
I won't.
Be with you,
I can't.
So what is it I do...
I guess....
Just see you.

I hear your steps.
I see your face.
Your fiery hair.
Your warm embrace.
I see myself,
Alone and kind.
I hope that you
Me soon will find.
True in your form
You soon will be.
I hope that you
Me soon will see.
I ask if you
Will lend your ear.
I hope that you
Me soon will hear.
I may be kind,
I may be true,
My only hope...
To be with you.

Waiting For You
Hiding behind the mountains warm,
While I lost and longing.
Waiting for you to shine,
Shine on me, with yellow light.
Bright fire glowing.
But why do you hide at night?
And leave me cold and dark,
Left to fulfill myself
With artificial heat and light.
So there you are; Hiding.
But I see you peek
Slightly grinning.
My heart yearns for you,
Wishing I could see you always.
I hate when we part.
You leave that last warm embrace,
That keeps me alive,
Knowing that you'll
Always be there.
And I will be there also,
Waiting for you.

Chaos
Solace power rips light, and soul hard heart,
cold touch, tearing flesh, chewing bone, melted
Zenith, hot temper embraced between my heart.
My mind entangled, spirited for good, but
willed toward evil. Strong dark light, grieving
through hope. Glass flies shattering between,
in and out of life. Light seeing betwixt might
and love. Unleashed, with the power to burn,
the power to heal. When lost and alone, the
skill have I none, my strength lost to them,
they steal it peaceably, no argue from I,
destruction dark, shaking my hope, but never
lost through the ages, I, the last guardian
of truth and respect, bombarded by rays of
death and delight, my shoes cannot protect
me from spikes of fiends.

The Envelope
Have I known this touch before;
Such pure thought courses through my soul.
Have I known this face before;
A smile that knocks my feet asunder,
Only to make me smile also.
I pinch myself; Ouch!
So there I am; Ga ga,
Flat on my back;
Smiling,
Staring into space.
A large planet enters the horizon,
It is you, looming over me.
True to form; Two bright stars
That look at me, as I look at them.
Sad though, the reflection is more than me,
But so may mine.
So I envelope myself with your presence,
And am lost.

I Will Be There (hymn)
In that morn when Christ shall come, I will be there
And there may be only some, I will be there
And there to fill my joy
With every girl and boy
I will be there at the coming of the Lord.
In that war with Christ I'll fight, I will be there
And never to lose sight, I will be there
And there to stand tall
All for one and one for all
I will be there with the spirit of the Lord.
When I die in Heav'n I'll be, I will be there
And you I hope to see, I will be there
And there I may sing
Praise and joy to my king
I will be there in the glory of the Lord.

I talk into technology;
You talk back.
Life swirls around my ankles,
Then my legs, chest, and head.

But I can't see you.
So there I am, floating;
I brush my back across the ceiling.
Push myself along the walls.

For hopes, and dreams, and goals, and life,
For love, and strength, for you, my wife,
My bond, my vow, my sacred word,
For all who hear, for all who've heard,
My love to thee is true, is strong,
For night, for day, for all life long,
To hold you close, to hold you near,
A dream come true, so do not fear,
For sin, for pain, yes all is well,
I will be strong, I will not fail,
I'll fight for thee in sacred place,
To cause no harm, or no disgrace,
Triumphantly I will come back,
With sword in hand, and foe in sack,
All of this, I do for you,
To show you that my love is true,
In life to come, yes up above,
To be with thee, my wife, my love,
My only wish, 'tis true to thee,
To then, and now, eternity...

Forever And A Day
I've been waiting for this day, all of my life.
I've been waiting for this day, to make you my wife.
I've been waiting for so long,
But I know our love is strong,
And it will burn bright,
All of the night,
And forever, and back again.
Now that we are here, face to face.
Now that we are here, in this holy place.
They say our time has come,
But it's really just begun,
For a fam'ly we will be,
For now to eternity,
And forever, and back again.
Our future looks so bright, now and forever.
Our future looks so bright, we will be together.
Forever and a day,
Our love will never fade away,
Whether joy or sorrow,
I'll be with you tomorrow,
And forever, and back again.

Your Heart
One-hundred-thirty days have passed.
I long for home to come at last.
Your light warm touch, your gentle hand;
Yes, I would conquer every land,
To see you once again, my friend,
To hold you close, until the end,
To feel you near, your lifelong love,
As soothing as a turtle dove.
My heart grows weak, from all this pain.
My tears, they fall like thund'rous rain.
But strength will come when you are near,
And once again, your voice I'll hear.
The time is coming, very soon,
I'll hold you underneath the moon,
And then our love we will restore,
We will be whole, forever more.
I miss your love, I miss your kiss,
But mostly, it's your heart I miss.

Someday
Glowing blades of grass, and rolling hills.
Lost in life; and love with all its thrills.
A helpful hand will reach out calling,
To keep me here and help from falling.
Yet with thoughts of you, and all my greed,
My heart left undone, yes I concede,
But trials of the past have left me here,
When all I need, is to have you near.
If I stop and think of you right now,
I may not make it; And yes, but how,
I long to hold you, and see your face,
You light every room, and every place.
Christ has shown me down his great straight path.
If I stop right now I'll feel his wrath.
Accept my concern and humble plea,
In hopes that someday, you'll be with me.

To See
What can I say, when all is said and done?
I learned that in life, everything's not fun.
Where can I go, when there's nowhere else to be?
I learned that in life, everything's not free.
With all my joy,
And all my pain,
There's nothing like
The falling rain.
What can I see, when there's nothing else to do?
People yes sometimes, may not be true.
So why can I sit and watch my dreams go by?
People yes sometimes, may have to cry.
With all my love,
And all my hope.
Without you,
I cannot cope.

The Climax
I sign the great hope of days past to joys
and dreams. Aloud the strengths of demons
howl, to brighten my ears that they will
hear the sounds of light. Eminent
destruction looms the grounds of earth, while
hairs of steel burn brightly throughout the
house. Razor sharp beams of ice shatter
the cold wetness over my head.
I hear warm glory enlighten my heart. A
lost sound, resounds in my soul, glowing
swords of light pierce my breath I see the
dreams of time past, with hope as my friend.
Love fills my heart, and softness in my ears.

Like Him
A lighted dream, of sorrows past.
A heart is felt, a soul at last.
A tear is shed, of joy or pain.
A glassy look, in fog or rain.
To help my soul, or help my friend.
To take a walk, until the end.
To grasp a point, of serious notion.
To pass a vote, by second motion.
My life is felt, a star above.
My friend might need, a little shove.
My eyes, see only God, it's true.
My heart, see's nothing less, in you.

What to Do
A fateful thought, a glance, a tarry.
Alone again, myself to carry.
Chill in the air, a broken wing.
Once again, my heart will sing.
To help you gracious, warming fire,
I toss to you, my one desire,
Then I look, and follow after,
And in myself, a chilling laughter.
Tired of all this pillow wetting,
With each new day, a new regretting.
'tis simple if I end it so,
But not for me, that way to go.
I'll sweetly play on my kazoo,
And softly say how-do-you-do.

The Price
Great destruction, lost in sin.
Knock on the door, he'll let you in.
A smiling face, a warm embrace,
And then away, my fears, he'll chase,
But once I start to look away,
Then no longer, can he stay.
I fall to Satan's evil snare,
And tell to you, to all, beware.
So then I watch him slowly go,
And under breath, I whisper, "So".
I think that I, alone am strong,
But tell you this, I know I'm wrong.
And so he died, that men might be,
But still he charges us a fee.
We can repent as you can see,
It's all left up to you and me.

The Beginning
She loves me as a friend loves another,
She loves me as a sister loves a brother.
She loves as a mother to a son,
She loves as if life is just for fun.
As listener to the preacher,
She loves as student to the teacher
But,
I love her as the flower loves the bee,
I love her as the captain loves the sea.
I love as a bear to his honey,
I love as a rich man to his money.
as the daylight to the sun,
I love as though I've almost won.

Heaven
In times of trial, in times of fate.
I open up the golden gate,
And then I let myself inside,
And enter in where gods reside.
A hopeful wish, I whisper there,
And to myself, I wonder where;
I cannot run, I cannot hide,
So by myself, I stay my side.
I wish that you won't be too late,
And so inside, I contemplate
Of things that you and I don't know,
So when you come, I'll tell you so.
And then my friend, when God is near,
Then you and I, we both will hear,
And then if you, my friend, agree,
We'll forever together be.
Just me and you and you and me.
For all time, and eternity.

Keep Trying
Who are you? I don't know,
But yet I do!
I think it is the veil
That I cannot see through.
Who has hurt you? I don't know,
And yet I do!
I think it was he,
That wasn't true to you.
My friend,
How time has come between us,
But that is not an end.
My friend,
I may not be with you now,
But soon I will attend.
We knew it wasn't easy,
And that is why we came.
We knew it wasn't easy,
And life is not a game.
When we left him we were perfect,
And try and fail we would,
But if we don't keep trying,
We'll only say, "I could..."

Changes
A children's folly tells the story,
Of fate, and love, and friends.
It was so easy when I was young.
But now, I have lost my way with time.
The stairs I once climbed, are now fallen,
I reach the door now, without help.
I see other children play; How I love them.
Why is fate so cruel to me?
No cares, just dreams for them.
All I have are things that worry me.
Why,
Because I try.
A scraped knee. No loss,
A kiss and then it's gone.
Why is love so cruel to my?
So free when I was them.
now a game that people play with me.
Why,
Because I cry.
Playing games and having fun,
Sure it's easy when there's many.
Why are friends so cruel to me?
Children how I wish I was one of them,
but still I am me.
Why,
Because I'm SKye.

The Things
I see myself, like in a dream,
And all the things of God it seem,
Are simple things, a part of me
That only from without I see.
If I look inside instead
I only see a tiny shred;
But he prepared a way for all
To save us from that fateful fall.
Like a glowing fire within
That helps us through our sorrow and sin.
And more the wood we pile on, (Ezekiel 24:10)
Soon that natural man is gone.
It was he, who did that sacrifice.
We are the salt, he is the spice.
Beware of leaven, is what he said,
For a little bit will make us dead.
Our thoughts, our words, our acts, our deeds,
All plant within us little seeds,
And the care we give will help them grow.
We indeed, will reap the things we sow.

The Eulogy
In a dream the other night
God gave me help and more insight.
For I was dead, as I did see,
And as I read my eulogy
Many things about me said
That did mark my heart with dread:
"My dad. I can't even say that I knew the guy.
He was a good provider. I'm sure that he was a
hard worker. It's not so bad that he's dead,
he left us with everything we need. I just
wish he was near, so I could hear him say, "I
love you son." like he did when I was young.
Goodbye Dad."
When I read it, I was pained.
"What about my heart", I exclaimed.
Was I not loving or not caring,
Neither friendly, nor even faring?
In my quest to be inclined, I forgot he had a mind
That I should nurture and help grow,
Like I did so long ago.
"I will help you," I did scream.
As I awoke from my dream,
I tiptoed to my child's bed
And then I softly said,
"My son, I do love you.
My heart is changed and now I'm new."
I whispered in his ear
And from my eye a little tear
Dropped down upon the ground
Then I left without a sound.
And so the moral of the story
Is it's not money, fame, or glory.
For in this life what really counts
Is showing love in large amounts.
Despite my arrogance;
--Thank you God, for
Giving me a second chance.

One Half
Barriers of broken thought.
Glances of intrinsic light.
Forms that frighten my mind.
I sense the determination.
I feel the pain that destroys my reason.
Hearts of lost souls waft my view.
Cold, lonely, tired, longing.
I push them out.
Something warm brushes past,
Turning, I see your back;
I stare, and watch you go.
I fall, but something lifts me up,
So I follow. I am lead home.
Then I sit and watch placidly,
Something familiar,
Something warm,
Something there.
I open my eyes, there I am.
I close my eyes, there you are.
One open, one closed; And I see,
We are together, you and me.

Tepid breeze, of warm fierce fire,

Slicing strips, of shallow leather,
Breaking bare, what's bound together.
Pointed pins, of poignant pain,
Which prick the heart, and pick the brain.
Hematic red, with haggis hue,
Drips from swords, which slice you through!

So she could warm me, in her arms,
And protect me, from life's harms.
I may seem ungrateful,
It is true,
But dearest mother,

If you'll wait,
And be sublime,
And trust in God,

My Devotion
I couldn't ask you for your soul,
You couldn't ask me for my heart
--But somehow we're together,
After all, that is a start.
Implication and subjection
Reformation, introspection.
I wait at night with deep emotion,
And when we have played our game,
I want to give you my devotion,
Forever take away your pain.
I'd give my essence, for one moment,
You'd take it in, so why not me?
You don't leave your card without emotion,
So don't deny, what you can see.
I can't make you stop and listen,
Que serah, what will be,
A thousand words still lack the painting
Of our eternity.
If the camera lens is broken
Then the pose is just a trick;
I smiled, you pushed the button,
So the picture was your pick.
Logic holds no reason.
Fate holds no sway.
To develop takes some time;
I will wait, I will stay.
I will be yours forever,
If it takes another day.

Pressing forward
Why were my intentions questioned, by other's inventions?
The lies and cries, yet there was no disguise.
My indication was just confirmation
of my appreciation, of which I was apprised,
when I looked into her eyes.
A glance, a look, and a grin wryly smiled,
wasn't implied, yet not hidden inside,
infused with intent, a hope to repent,
a function, induction, and her implication,
was my inflamation in our mediation.
Groping for hoping, with lips and with heart,
your mind and soul, and your wishes impart.
I take in your skin, your warmth, and your hair,
I take in your story, I hear it, been there.
I feel your breath, and your breadth, and the depth,
I feel your bane, and would cry if you leapt
off the edge of the cliff, where you're calmly standing,
where friends gather round, and with loved ones commanding.
In retrospection, it wasn't regression,
But your solemn confession when you calmly said,
"I am giving up, I am letting go,
I am giving in, I am saying so.
I will not win in this fight against sin."
it pierced like swords and hurt my soul
I care to much to let you go.
To fall is not an option, climb the hill, or I will carry,
it is not scary, but hard to walk, when with each new step the sands cave in,
we must press forward in order to win,
this is something that is very necessary.
Don't let infutility in, it is the adversary.
We are in need of the intercessor,
when the forever we wish for, is well endeavored,
emotion in motion, commotion, devotion,
hopes for perfection, in God's reflection,
because, his child you are, so you must go far.
In and out, of joy, intermixed with pain.
I clasp, I clutch, enfold, entwine,
envelop and fold, wrap with an ensign.
Admit, comprise, enclose, involve,
take in, within, the size and the holes,
accept, adopt, allow, approve,
concur, recognize, sanction, reprove.
Advance and journey, to pass and progress,
don't coast off or drift off, repair at behest.
A professor and wise, nothing less in my eyes,
like an arabic vein on a Syrian plain,
no more youthful folly, or elaborate disguise,
to follow the plan that brings only cries is insane.
A captain, commander, chief, and an officer,
a sister, a brother, a friend 'til the end,
and there is an end in mortality,
there is a beginning of you and of me.
We were friends before, and I know you'll see.
We were friends before, both you and me.
We were friends before, and you will agree.
We were friends before, and we'll forever be.
Even before I met you, I hoped to see.
Even before I met you, in eternity.
No matter what God has in store, for you and for me.
No matter what God has in store, you'll agree,
Press forward, press forward, press forward, and see.

one day's hope
I never meant to hurt you,
never meant to make you cry.
You were never meant to love me,
and when you did we said goodbye.
We were put here for our friendship,
to help each other try.
But now we're not together,
and it makes me want to die.
The words I said did hurt you,
because they came from me.
Yet the words were just a story,
they were never meant to be.
Now my life without you's sorrow,
because I've only caused you pain.
Because you've left me no tomorrow,
my heart will never be the same.
I never thought our friendship,
would ever be this something less.
And now my heart without you,
is nothing but a mess.
The darkness and the sorrow,
It's really all too much.
I really need this friendship,
e'en though to you it is a crutch.
And now my heart is broken,
it was never meant to be.
My words were just mispoken,
and now there's no more you and me.
Now where is our friendship,
where is it meant to be?
Now it's only gone,
there's only me.
I hope one day you'll reconsider,
we will be friends once again.
I hope one day you'll reconsider,
and our friendship we'll regain.
I hope one day you'll reconsider,
that our friendship is too much.
I hope that we can someday,
be in touch.

It was, It Is.
The hurt is less now day by day,
as inspiration fades away.
The happy good times gone and passed,
the gloom and sadness enter fast.
The cold and darkness lingers near,
the sullen sadness enters here.
Where you once stood, now is blank.
I cannot see, my heart has sank.
How would I know what you would feel,
how would I know this would be the deal.
If I knew it then, I would have backed away,
but now it's done, what can I say.
The kind and hopeful words are spent,
now my hopes and dreams are lent
to others who now have the power.
I count the minute, the second, the hour.
I cannot help what I cannot see,
I cannot be what I want to be,
I cannot cope with dark and sadness,
I cannot feel your heart and gladness.
Simple hopes and simple dreams,
and simple hearts, and simple things,
are nothing if not contradictions,
that leave you filled with pained afflictions.
As friends once were, can no longer be,
once entwined, and now set free,
the sorrows felt, can no longer see,
and now the sound is only me.

My Adversary
I sit here in the shower, thinking of the power
that you have over me, the pain and the ecstasy,
and your deceitful lies, that fill me with despise,
for my eternal soul, when you fulfill your role.
The subtlety of sin, and imperfection always win,
because I lose control, when you've given me my dole.
You promise me no pain, and only give remorse.
I follow you in vain, and am taken off my course.
I want to crush your head, destroy you, make you dead,
but you wriggle back inside, of my mind and in my head.
The dark powers gather in, I'm swept away, I've given in.
Like my evil twin, you take hold of me, and start to grin.
I fight for control, but I've lost, and I let go.
Your shadows start to grow, and next I know, I'm in your throw.
I am inclined, and entwined, by the design, of your kind.
I am enthralled, by your call, while you scald, and you bind.
I cannot get away, though I try harder day by day.
Your call like sirens squalling, while you wait upon your prey,
and me, I'm slowly falling, as I start to waste away.
You're not happy with my destruction, wanting full annihilation.
I drown in your seduction, accepting your solicitation.
You make me think I'm winning, while you are grinning at my sinning.
While you are slowly pinning me, with inhibition thinning see
my folly, my stupidity, for letting you get through to me
And now, before I seek God's wrath, I think instead
I'll take a bath.

Me and You
It's so funny to see the two of us, so conflicted, so tormented, in agony,
yet loving every minute we talk, every smile, every fond memory.
I think of the times that we touched, so tender, so intimate,
with every intention yet not completely in-depth, unresolved and unrequite.
I am caressed in my dreams,
my thoughts,
my tears,
my heart
and my fears,
and I see you beside me;
smiling, playfully toying
and turning the gears.
This computer doesn't do justice, when the warmth of your breath is all that I miss,
the touch of your skin the softness of your hair, your lips and your kiss.
when I'm around you I feel like the whole world knows,
like they can see into my soul,
because I just can't help smiling, wherever I go.
I am impressed by your strength, your ability to deal,
your power over me, and the way your smile makes me feel.
I can't help taking your picture because I know that it's what's left,
when time and fate take us apart, and it tears at my heart, like an unwelcome theft.
it's easy for you to say and to see, that the you, and the me, are just fantasy,
but it doesn't seem that way to me, whether it can, or can't be.
I don't take it for granted the moments we spend talking or laughing or sleeping
or the time that you lend, to me or to others, 'cause you're that kind of friend.
why do I want what we cannot have, or is it just me discontented, craving something I love?
I sense I inspire you,
fill you with fire too,
but you are just too in control of you,
in everything you say and do.
So then, what can we do,
me and you?

My Destruction
I find myself craving after your slaving ways
you capture me,
take hold of me
enrapture me
The pain and the misery,
are slowly wholly killing me,
beholden to your fantasy
your ways I see,
yet cannot be,
I must be free
or she will be:
my destruction,
utterly;
At times it seems
I cannot be,
but I must you see,
I cannot flee,
you'll hear my plea,
on your killing spree,
where is my, epiphany?
it's only he,
that will rescue me;
if in my mind,
I'll humbly be,
then I will find,
continuity.
You'll never get
the best of me.

Indentured Servant
The mire and the pain,
are now filling up my brain,
I can't escape, I can't give-in,
I can't give-up, or he shall win,
I can't divine what's in his mind.
I have no knowledge of his kind.
I can't keep my heart, and keep my soul,
so I must choose which, to let go
or I will find out, that my role,
is to be destroyed, by what I sow.
It is not fast, it is not slow,
but it's the course that I must go.
I cannot see, but am not blind,
yet if no change, then I will find
I'll be destroyed, and be resigned,
be found lacking, a sound mind.
I don't control the goal,
I only oversee my stroll,
while they steal away my soul,
and all that's left's to pay the toll.
God's wrath hath a path,
it doesn't take much math
to feel the fire of his ire
when he consumes the lath.

Poem in the key of E
Why take away my fantasy?
Why can't it be
the way I see,
when I close my eyes
and you're here with me?
Why does it have to be
the way you see
when you think of me?
Because you're free,
but I'm beholden to thee.
The pleasure and the fantasy
are all that I want it to be.
But you bring things back to reality.
Why does it have to be:
without you, or without me?
Plan A has failed, and now plan B.
I've cried at C, and died at D.
And now I'm stuck at E

Exactly what you see
The silence is almost deafening
when I walk into the room.
I can look at you for hours
and you never say a word.
I see the smile behind your eyes,
but in front is just a gaze.
It's no longer meant for me because,
there are no more happy days.
You warned me ahead of time
what you thought that I would be,
But instead of proving you wrong,
I am exactly what you see.

We Shouldn't
I wish we could,
But we can't.
I wish we would,
But we won't.
I think that we should,
But we shant.
I think that it's good,
But you don't.
Why is this such torment for me,
When it's so funny to you
And you're laughing, I see.
Why do I try to get to that part of you
That you hold deep inside
and I can't quite get through
You're making me crazy
with the tulips and daisies
Now my mind's gone all hazy
and our constraint's going lazy
I'm back on the prowl
as I hungrily growl
and you give me a scowl
as you throw in the towel.
But you can't quite give in
'cause you've seen where I've been
Yet you'll soon see my grin
As I crawl under your skin...

But if we did
Then when I'm inside,
You'll swallow your pride,
and enjoy the ride
as together we slide
in and out with the tide,
you'll be my guide
as we glide and I hide
and then when you've sighed
with your eyes open wide
you'll say that we tried
and pull me close to your side
and then I'll confide
where I first implied
without being denied
and the pain will subside
when our bodies collide
alongside the divide
where I want to reside

It's not just a song
I've missed you before and I'll miss you again
but missing you now makes me feel insane.
You're right here next to me, and you're always in my brain,
so why does my heart ache when you're not in my domain?
I lie asleep in my bed at night,
and I dream of you all dressed in white,
and this isn't a hoax it's within my sight,
but you tell me I'm wrong, because it isn't right.
I know what I feel and I know I'm not wrong.
I know that the time is just too long gone,
because what I want is for us to belong,
but it just sounds like a bad love song.

But it is
Do you think it's just infatuation
what's between you and me?
Could it be something much deeper
or something only I can see?
You overlook my weakness.
You overlook my folly.
At times when I'm alone,
or I'm sullen and melancholy.
You respond to my advances
with only LOL.
It puts me in a special place,
which I can only describe as hell.
You make my heart race when we're together
And pine when we're apart,
and you'll only accept my friendship
but wont give-in to my whole heart.
My best just isn't good enough,
You make it oh so rough.
I wish our lives were easier,
It shouldn't be this tough.
But it is.

How I Miss You
It's not like I wanted something more, or something extra,
I only wanted to be friends.
But the hugs you gave, made me feel so special,
It became my obsession, and probably what took us to our end.
I talked a big talk and told some great tales,
Looking for attention, but it only set off bells.
Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy,
When all I really wanted was for you to be a friend to me
But that's not the way I acted and I owe you an apology,
but now I'll never see you and I can't, you see
because you told me to just let you be.
So now I sit here pining, for each moment our friendship never had,
because you asked me to be good, but I only acted bad.
I wish it wasn't true, and I could take it back and act more pure;
I wish that you and I could go back to what we were.
We shared some time together, and how wonderful it was,
And now I'm without you forever, and I'm the only cause.
And I just don't know, why I'm out of control
I wish it wouldn't be, and I wish you didn't go,
but wishing you would again be friends with me doesn't make it so.
All I can do is write how
I miss you now.

Do I Care?
I need a goal, a mission an assignment an objective,
a purpose, a direction, a reason for my being.
Without it I am lost, misguided, misdirected,
left to wanter aimlessly without a way of seeing.
Can you step in and find a way to lift me up?
Can you take me in, give me shelter,
like some wayward wand'ring pup?
Without your help I'm lost, I'm nothing.
I'm just an empty shell.
I'm headed towards destruction,
on a road that's paved in Hell.
I should have paid attention when you warned me about this path,
You told me it was simple, after all, it isn't math.
so now what do I do, sitting here aimless, goal-less, disconnected,
heartbroken, soulless, feeling sorry and dejected?
I appreciate the times, when you let me tag along,
following your scent, and listening to your song.
But there's nothing left to do,
because I'm alone again,
I guess I'll just sit here,
until the end.

I Miss Your Face
It's very clear to me, that you are your own entity.
I shouldn't try to involve myself in your life you see.
I'm not sure why I try to be,
anything more to you than me.
I don't have wings, I cannot fly,
I can't save you from things, so why try?
It's only in my nature, to be friendly and be caring,
but it also makes me come across as a stalker and overbearing.
What do you want me to say, I care about you!
I can only say the words that are true.
But you won't listen to me,
at least not anymore,
not ever since,
I showed up at your door.
You think I'm in love,
but I don't think that's the case,
It's just who I am,
I miss your face.

Beyond the Best
You look at yourself, and what do you see?
You think that you're fat, and you think you're ugly.
I look at you and what do I see?
I see a queen, I see a beauty.
You let society dictate your thoughts on your image,
but you're believing a lie,
you're chasing a mirage.
I see you as perfect, in almost every way,
I yearn for your soul's touch,
when you pass by me each day.
You sell yourself short,
and you let yourself down.
I pine after you
and I'd give you a crown;
But would it prove to you that you're
better than the best?
Because I just can't make you believe
that you are beyond the rest.
You have so much to give,
there's so much to who you are.
I'll say it again,
you're beyond the best,
and by far!!
Don't take it from me,
and the words that I say,
just believe in yourself,
starting today,
and you will see,
come what will, and what may,
you will be beyond the best!
Just believe me!
Okay?!!

Try To Measure
I'm so happy when I hear your voice,
and the time just seems to slip away.
I could talk to you 1,000 hours,
and it would only feel like one day.
I'm not sure why it feels so easy,
we haven't been friends that long.
But maybe we've known each other forever,
who's to say, if I am wrong?
It's simple. When I hear your voice,
I lose myself in your soul
And both of us can rejoice,
when either achieves a goal.
I hope I'm not by myself, when I wish,
our friendship would last forever.
And I know for sure my heart would squish,
if anyone tried to make it sever.
My heart is mine, and yours is yours,
but we're so happy when we're together.
So just know this, it's your soul I miss,
when I'm feeling under weather.
Please be mine, 'til the end of time,
our friendship that I treasure;
And I will also, be a friend to you,
in a way
that you and I
cannot try
to measure.

Just be You
It's been so long since I saw you last,
that I don't know what to do,
and I don't know what to say.
But I'm certain that we will have a blast,
becasue of the way I feel about you,
the moments will just melt away.
Our friendship is something that I know will last forever,
because of who you are,
and because of what we know.
It's something that will stand the test of time, if we strive to endeavor.
I know that we'll go far,
no matter where we go.
It's funny 'cause I miss you so much, I have butterflies in my belly.
It seems we've been apart so long,
even though I can see nothing wrong,
But we can keep creating this same song, me and you, my friend __________
if we just stay true and just stay strong.
I'm always happy to have you along.
One day you'll find your perfect match, and I hope to still be your friend.
I know that you'll be happy,
I know that it'll be true.
Just keep on walking down that straight path, and never fall or bend.
'Cause life without you will be so crappy
like when you had the flu.
I miss you, I'll see you, with bliss you'll, just be you.

I Can, but I Can't
It's so hard not talking to you,
when talking to you is all I want to do.
It takes all the power and all that I am,
to hold myself back and not call you all the time.
I find myself dreaming of a future never meant to pass.
I really can't help it though, when I know life goes so fast.
It's hard not to think, and it's hard not to dream,
when every perfect picture, has you in the scene.
The sound of your voice is no less than a siren's,
because it calls me in like a drug, an addiction.
You are my heart's affliction.
If I could paint the perfect picture, it would look exactly like you and me,
together for forever in a place called eternity.
But this life isn't perfect ev'n though dreams aren't meant to fail,
some dreams are just repressions, of a long lost memory.
My hopes can't bring forth fruits, because of the darkness in my heart,
but they can exhibit themselves in the pain that I feel when we're apart.
It's like my only outlet is to write down all my thoughts,
because if I told you all my secrets, you'd be the one to call the shots.
So hidden pains, and long lost veins, of hopes refrained, and lovers pained
with darkess chained, desire restrained, I feel the chains when my heart strains
to fill the plains with your reigns.
And all I can do is remain.

Whenever, Wherever
I know why you warn me,
tell me to stay away,
Because We're playing with fire,
Every single day.
Every minute,
every second,
every hour,
I feel your draw,
I feel your power,
Your smile,
your skin,
your hair,
your lips,
your legs,
your eyes,
your hands,
your hips.
I fight the feelings,
because
we're supposed to be only friends.
I wake up confused ,
in my dreams,
because of how they end.
But I just can't help it,
I feel like I'm in control.
I feel like I can fight it,
Because there's nowhere for this to go.
But to see you blush
brings me 1,000 smiles,
It was worth all my lame jokes,
and putting up with all our trials.
We Samba, we Jamba, we Sharazad the day away.
We laughed at Cabellas,
While we watched the fish play.
It's totally worth it,
if we can be friends
Forever
Just call me anytime
and I'll meet you
Whenever,
Wherever,
for Whatever.

It should be easy for me to move on.
Especially since it's wrong for me
to be writing things like songs.

weren't "into me" I should have
let it be, but I can't, you see.
Maybe it's a fantasy, or failed

If We Were Ten
If we were ten, we'd be best friends,
we'd have no cares, and our days would have no ends.
If we lived by a river, I can picture nothing clearer
than to fish and to play and to laugh the days away.
We'd ride our big ol' bikes around the big ol' farms.
We'd go on day long hikes, walking arm in arms.
We'd go on treasure hunts, and have picnics in the shade.
I'd do my silly stunts, and we'd frollick in the glade.
If we were ten, and it was way back when,
we'd have all day to spend, wishing it would never end.
As the sun would set, we'd soon forget,
all our cares away, and our thoughts would fade,
as the shade would raise, we'd be on our way
home to spend our nights away, while we
dream, of another day, when we get to play
in the grass and hay, and the rolling hills,
that give us thrills, as we roll and spill,
and toss and steal each others' glances,
and time, it passes, but never ends,
because, we're timeless friends.
Since, when we were ten,
men were men, and boys were boys.
In our days of zen, and joys and toys,
I'd hold your hand, and you'd kiss my cheek,
and we'd do it all again, next week.

Wouldn't Be The Same
What happened when the innocence of our friendship was lost?
When we could no longer be, because it was too high a cost.
What happened when the guiltless ten year old was slain?
Because the views of others were so narrow and plain.
Why was the false memory implanted in my head, so real, and so true?
It may not have been real, but I felt I spent ten years with you.
It's not like our friendship can never be what it's meant to be.
But for some reason, it can't exist, if there are others around who'll see.
I may be able to act differently around you,
but on the inside something has changed my point of view.
So, even though, I may have never known your name.
My life without ever knowing you just wouldn't be the same.

The More, I'm Talking About
I'll be honest, there isn't much that I wouldn't do,
when you smile at me the way that you do.
You told me 85% of the things in your life that are true
But I've given 99% of the story of what I am, to you.
So why do we have to try to hide what we are?
Best friends from way back far.
It's not that others don't understand,
it's just that they are jealous of the things we plan.
It's funny how we tread so lightly,
like if others really knew our plans they'd look at us unsightly.
But I can't help how I feel, and neither can you,
it's just how God made us, at least that's my point of view.
It's funny how the little things, like even a door,
can make us laugh-out-loud and keep us rolling-on-the-floor.
It's sad, because I want to touch you all the time,
but I keep my distance, because someone declared it a crime.
I can't help it though, your bubbly personality
is so addictive to me, it makes me see that we can be
more than just long lost friends you see,
but you are my confidant. In my dreams, you haunt
my heart is want, to hold the streams of joy you flaunt.
It's tragic we can't be, nonchalant, with all the things
our hearts would bring, if you could hear the song, that my soul sings.
I play things out, and in my head, it's not at all
like something that you dread, but because you said it,
it must be so, though tough for me to handle, we'll keep it slow.
And I die a little day by day, though, it's for the best,
whatever comes our way, but I cannot say, because that's a play.
If we could pay our bills with smiles, you'd be a millionaire!!
Yet we have to handle the situation with great care,
because I could look tomorrow, and you may not be there,
and pitiful as it is, I'd still be in my chair.
I'd say a little prayer, to protect you and give you care,
but I guess it's for the best, for there, to be some things that we don't share.
Is what I say reality, or fantasy, does it invoke a sense of duplicity?
I can only rhyme of things I know, whether true or not, you make it so.
Who's to define the love we have, whether good or whether bad,
I can only give you back, what you gave, even if there's more I crave.

We Can Grow Together
I can't help your feelings, I can't fight your reserve,
I can't fulfill your impetuous wishes, I can't cause you to swerve.
I can't fight your loneliness, I can barely fight my own.
I can only thank you, for everything that you have shown.
I keep every scrap of paper that you have ever touched,
it may not seem like anything to some, but to me they mean so much.
I'm so nervous, I keep pacing the floor.
We talk in whispers now, because we cannot shut the door.
I'm giving all that I have, to try to please my wife,
but my mistakes are only causing, more and more pain, in her life.
I depend on your guidance and your words of wisdom.
You keep so much in your heart and head, yet so much of you is hidden.
But you let it slip out sometimes, and then to my surprise,
I see the dreams of your soul hiding, just behind your eyes,
sometimes they are wet, with the pain that you still carry,
and you tell me not to deviate, and you tell me not to vary.
I try, I swear, I try, I do, I try so hard to be just like you want me to,
but my good qualities are so very few, it's just too easy for others to see right through.
I ask how can we be friends, because so much of our past we've shared.
Sometimes I feel we grew up together, and I feel all those years we've cared.
I wish that I'll be lucky enough, to be there when you share your all,
maybe I can't, if fate decides against us, or despair causes us to fall.
You say things like: Hmmm, oh dear, nah, and wow, because that's what you dish.
Sometimes I respond with: Grr, smurf, awwww, and as you wish.
How can I help you, and how can you help me?
How can we encourage each other, to be the best, that we can be?
I don't want to lose you, I don't want to find you quit the race.
I don't want to come in last, and I know I won't be in first place.
If you asked me for an hour, I'd stay up all the night,
and if I didn't know what to do with myself, then I guess I'd write.
And I'd put down all my feelings in a little friendly poem,
and I'd post it to the web in hopes that oneday it would find its home.
Sometimes I wish I didn't feel this way, with all that's left to do,
when there's nothing left to say, I know there's more to you.
I do hope that one day, we will find our hearts are true,
And we will return to where we pray, and we will find out that we grew.

What To Do?
What if you, could take a pill,
to end all the sadness,
the misery,
the suffering?
What if you, could change yourself,
into something else,
something more pure,
with less buffeting?
I've tried and fought,
and clawed and bit,
and scraped and died ,
every time, I've tried.
I can't help myself, when I fall
and cry,
and I beat up myself,
when the world acts so snide.
What's the use,
I try and say,
every day, when the pain
slowly fades away.
What is the point?
I can't keep this up,
this charade adjoint
against the fray.
I'm helpless,
I'm hopeless,
I'm lost
and fallen,
tied up,
lost focus,
wayward
and smallen.
I keep trying,
and dying,
I'm lying,
and spying,
on the innards of my soul,
lost with no goal.
I'm fried,
and I hide,
from the punishment of pain,
that awaits their disdain
at the stain of my chain.
But it doesn't stop my course,
on this path that only ends,
in the bloodbath of rain,
my only hope.
It's the single thing,
keeping me sane,
while living this pain,
this torture,
the noose in the rope
Waiting to tighten,
around my neck,
'cause my life is a wreck,
a horrible pile, of misery and nope.
Why can you laugh,
and watch me crawl,
on my knees,
begging you please.
Destroy my temptation,
my vocation of sensation.
Cease my elation,
that comes from the creation.
Or else, castration,
it's the only thing left,
that makes sense in the world,
to destroy what I am,
make me more like a girl
But still a man,
in every way that counts,
just less of an ass,
or at least in smaller amounts.
I can't help who I am,
but I know what will.
A small yellow pill,
that takes away the desire,
puts out the fire,
makes it all less dire.
While bringing me back,
to the path of the higher
The forces above,
don't mention the drug,
whether good or bad,
or how it should be had.
I'm just glad that it exists,
and can help me desist,
from cutting my wrists,
pull me back from the mists.
Where I'm pounding my fists
against the wall,
crying for it
to fall.
I'm such a hack,
a quack,
with no lack of skills
for bringing in kills,
but it's time for me,
to put away my will,
and the thrill I instill.
I can't fight the thrill,
and the call of the hill.
If I open my mouth,
and put in the pill,
I can seal the deal,
of my life left intact.
No more aces left stacked,
just the cards in my hand,
the ones that I'm dealt,
the ones that I've packed
In my pocket in back,
behind my belt,
in the place that it dwelt,
just above my waist.
Where the crazy dreams once laced
the base of my spine,
the trace of the shrine,
of the god of my death.
The smell of his breath,
that he slowly stole,
from me like an addict,
on meth.
Releasing myself,
one sin at a time,
getting nickeled and dimed,
while passing the time,
in the prime of my crime.
I want it all to go away ,
not today, it would betray
the only thing left,
just let it pass.
Slowly becoming more holy,
inching across
the grass where I surpass
the only thing I can heft
myself up the hill,
to the top of the tower,
where I'm showered with power,
nothing ever tasted so sour.
But as poor as the taste in my head,
comes the bore of myself
being dead.
The solace that coming,
no one can ignore,
it will track down my door,
bringing the fire and ire,
to destroy me some more.
what to do,
what to do,
what to do,
what to do.

IMY, IWYWH, IWISYCHM, IWSMT
If I could live within your arms,
if I had a will to fight your charm,
If my heart could not go on,
I would die, feeling happy and warm.
But instead, it seems that what I do,
Is cause you pain and harm.
I can't help the words I say to you,
they come over me like a raging storm.
I forget who I am,
I forget how I was born,
When I am without you,
I just feel forlorn.
Forbidden love, forbidden truths,
forbidden memories of forgotten youths.
Why do I have to be a girl
to be a part, of your world?
Why can't you accept me as a man
it's not like there's some scheming plan.
Though I don't doubt that I want to know
the pleasures of your body,
the warmth of your caress,
the softness of your lips,
the things that I can only guess.
It hurts to feel this way,
to want to see and talk to you each day.
But you make all the plans,
what's accepted and what is banned.
And I don't have anything to say,
because I can't decode your ways.
I miss you, I wish you were here,
I need you, I wish you were near.
I wish you would hold me in your wings,
I wish so many things.
I want you, but not only for a moment.
I want so much to:
to feel your touch,
to hold you close,
to be the one you chose.

I want to infect you with my goal

I can't plant in you a seed

The Calm, Before the Storm
This strange contraption,
a motive of conception,
my mind inside destruction
hold me til you cry
want me til we die,
I am wanton for your pleasure
a healthy dose,
a measure
of you inside my mind.
I am helpless in your presence
I am hopeless convalescent,
make me into what you can,
make me more than just a man,
I cannot stand on my own two feet.
you make me want you more than life,
you make me want you for my wife,
but I am broken fallen, lost,
I have forgotten what this would cost.
I can't define my role
inside your ever wandering goal,
I hope to be inside your brain
I hope to never cause you pain,
I am a fiend of all that's
good I cannot tell my path,
though wish I could,
I am hopeless withered small,
yet when I see you,
you're so tall,
you inspire me each day
with all the things you do and say,
I cannot fight the urge to die
because when I think of you I cry,
inside my heart is only pain
because I cause you so much disdain,
I hate what I've become,
I hate that I can't stop what I've begun.
I hate my life and all I have,
I hate that I can't take you with me when I leave.
I try, but no one can hear me plead,
I've lost my voice,
now I concede.

Once Upon a Time, I Kept You
I'll never forget that moment, nor the setting sun
I tasted of your soul, though it wasn't just for fun
The motion of our bodies and the softness of your skin
the moisture of the weather a soft and simple win
I would walk out of tomorrow, if I could only have today
I saw the pain and sorrow, I hope that soon they'll fade away
I would trade my wanton heart for a moment of your pain,
but seeing the sun falling has caused us so much rain.
The scent you left upon me, still lingers in the air,
my mind is playing tricks on me, and thinks that you're still there
it was worth every forgotten moral in a moment of pure bliss
the one thing never forgotten will be the softness of your kiss
I may never be able to see you again, because of the temptingness of my ways
but the fewness of the hours have felt, to me, like a thousand days.
I'm sitting here still pondering what am _I_ supposed to do
I'm thinking of the pain I've caused, and how I can see you through
Why can't I have you: Heart, Soul, Mind, and body
Why is the only word that you have for us, is simply: naughty.
I guess the only thing that I can do is watch and pray,
And hope and wish, and yearn, and love, and keep you in my stay.

Does it?
The alcohol it numbs the pain.
It numbs the pain.
It numbs the pain.
What was it? That I was sayin'?
It's on my brain,
I'm not insane.
I'm not insane?
Am I stumbling again?
I don't care, what's in my head?
what's in my head!
what's in my head?
It's not only dread.
But could be lead,
but I am not dead.
Am I not dead!?
I could be dead.
What the Hell!
My mind's in hell?
I cannot tell
I cannot tell.
Don't wish me well.

This Poem Isn't About You
It isn't what I say.
It isn't what I do.
I'm nothing more than what I am,
or what I think of you.
You think I'm this.
You think I'm that.
but you don't know what's in my head,
because you didn't find a welcome mat.
I don't understand.
Why you say what I can't and what I can.
Why do you think that I am,
less than an average man?
I'm not more than who I am
and I know less than what I can.
You take the chance to slam,
makes me wonder if you're a fan.
I can't think,
and I can't feel.
I can't determine what is false,
and what is real.
So stop judging,
what you don't know.
Stop telling me what to say,
or where to go.
Stop calling me out,
when you think I'm wrong.
I don't call you weak.
And I don't call you strong.
Just let me live my life,
with my daughters and my wife.
stop making things so rife.
Stop causing all this strife.
PS this poem isn't about you. (but it may have been inspired by a true story)

Is it my fault?
I didn't give up on you, when you gave up on me,
When you told me you'd always be there, but now are nowhere I can see.
I didn't back down when you pushed me away,
I didn't want to run, I only wanted to stay,
but I couldn't, because you wouldn't, let me in.
I tried the best I could, to give you what I had,
I gave, and gave it all, when I could, to only see you glad,
but you didn't want to share in the part of me
the part that makes me love, in you, everything that I see.
So I must, cry, in the dust, 'cause I can't win.
This pain that I feel inside,
this pain that makes me want to run and hide.
I hide my tears inside my eyes,
and I tell you, my lies,
the lies you want to hear.
I can't hold it in anymore,
it is shredding me across the floor
across the place, I hide my heart,
the heart that only holds a part
the part that caused this fear
So, I go to the dark place, where I hide my face.
I let my tears out, where they fall without doubt,
and I wish to pluck the vein,
the one that runs from my heart to my brain.
A wish of hope no more.
If only my tears were blood.
If only they'd wet this dust to mud.
I'd cake my face in the rusty mask.
I'd cover it up, and then I'd ask
why do I make you sore?

I'm outta time
You were the reason I woke up in the morning.
You were the reason I got out of bed.
The smile on your face, gave me strength to face the world,
and now it feels like you are dead.
You told me that you were going away,
but I didn't know what you meant.
I didn't know you would remove yourself from my life,
and try to take away all the time we have spent.
I logged onto my computer today, and saw that you had went away.
I cried for an hour, wondering who it was, that gave you the power
to make me feel like my best friend had died, and yet there you were, still alive,
so you choose to not be my friend anymore? This kills me inside, to my very core.
Imagine a pain, a most searing pain,
like your eye being poked, or an arm being broke,
or a knife being stuck in your brain.
That can't compare, to how I feel,
because physical pain can only hurt so much,
but this pain in my heart is unreal,
this pain in my head is surreal,
and this pain in my mind can't be stilled with a cast or a crutch.
Lortab, Percocet, and Oxycontin can numb the skin,
but what can numb the mind?
prescribe it to me, doctor.
I'm running out of time.
This is bigger than I thought, when you said you need a break.
I thought it was for a minute, an hour, or even for a week,
but now it seems that it's forever,
and the future just became very bleak.
