Dr. Wael Hosny Fouad Aly

Wael Hosny Fouad Aly earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 2006. He is currently a Professor of Computer Engineering at the American University of the Middle East and a researcher specializing in wireless communications and networking. A registered professional engineer in Ontario (P.Eng) and a senior member of IEEE, he has numerous peer-reviewed publications in esteemed magazines, journals, and conference proceedings. Dr. Aly serves as an associate editor for multiple journals and has been a guest editor for several. He has organized numerous IEEE conferences and workshops, acted as a session chair for several symposiums, and is part of the technical program committee for various journals and conferences. His current research focuses on designing and managing large-scale infrastructures and platforms to support extensive Internet services, aiming to build cloud computing infrastructures that meet objectives related to performance, scalability, revenue, operational cost, energy efficiency, and environmental concerns.
