S. R. Manohara, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, Karnataka, India. He has obtained MSc in Physics from Bangalore University securing fourth rank and a Ph.D. from Gulbarga University. He has more than twenty years of teaching and research experience and has taught subjects such as Engineering Physics, Applied Physics, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Engineering Electromagnetics, Fields, Lines and Waves, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, etc. Manohara has published 73 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and 4 book chapters with a total h–index of 19, cumulative impact factor of > 166, and total citations of > 2030. He has successfully guided three candidates for their PhD and two students nearing the submission of their PhD theses. He has authored a book titled "Electricity, Magnetism and Electromagnetic Theory" with S Chand and Company Limited, New Delhi [ISBN: 9789-3528-34402, Flyer of the Book]. He is also a reviewer of various journals of international repute and has participated/presented several research papers at international/national conferences. He has edited/reviewed textbooks for various publishers of national and international repute.

Manohara has two ongoing sponsored research projects funded by UGC-DAE CSR and IUAC, New Deli. He has successfully implemented two sponsored research projects funded by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology & Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka. He has received many awards, fellowships, and recognitions, which include VGST-Young Scientist, IASc-INSA-NASI Research Fellowship, Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Travel Fellowships (DST, UGC, CCSTDS and CICS), etc. He has visited Italy and South Korea as a guest scientist to participate in conferences sponsored by the Government of India (DST, UGC, CCSTDS, and CICS). He is a member of various scientific societies such as MRSI, ICS, IAPT, etc. His areas of research interest include nanotechnology, materials science, and radiation physics.
