About

Dr. Muhammad Majid received BSc. in Computer Engineering with honors from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila, Pakistan in 2005, MSc in Data Communications with distinction and PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK in 2007 and 2011 respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Computer Engineering, UET Taxila and heading Signal, Image, Multimedia Processing and Learning (SIMPLE) research group. He was a recipient of Faculty Development Program Scholarship of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan for his MSc and PhD Studies. His research interests include image and video coding, multimedia signal processing, biomedical signal processing and emotion classification in response to multimedia content.
