  • Gained full conference registration grant of 300£ (GBP) from Optical Society of America (OSA) to present my research in Optical Fibre Communications (OFC 2009) Conference and Exhibition, USA in Mar. 2009.

  • Gained 400£ (GBP) travel grant for IEEE Photonics Society Summer Topicals 2009 from University of Bristol Alumni Foundation, UK in Feb. 2009.

  • Gained internal pump priming funding award of £5000 (GBP) with my supervisor in Feb. 2008 for my PhD research from Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Bristol, UK.

  • Gained 400 Euros grant to attend Nanoscale and Ultrafast Photonics summer school organised by EU-COST 288 Framework in May 2008.

  • Gained international students scholarship of £2,500 in MSc at University of Plymouth, UK in 2004
