about me
I am an environmental scientist dedicated to sustainability research. My primary focus lies in understanding the intricate connections between the environment, biodiversity, and human well-being. To achieve this, I employ interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches to assess the effectiveness of nature conservation strategies from both ecological and social perspectives. My research delves into several aspects, including environmental justice and the preservation of biocultural diversity. I explore these topics within various conservation governance frameworks, taking into account human values and biodiversity patterns across different species. My work takes me to vulnerable landscapes worldwide, with a special emphasis on regions like Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. I aim to unravel the complex dynamics governing human-environment interactions. This involves studying social-ecological systems over time and utilizing environmental modeling to forecast potential environmental and social changes. My research encompasses both conceptual and practical dimensions, spanning a range of spatial and temporal scales.
