About Your First Appointment
Your first appointment will take 1.5-2 hours for a thorough wellness exam, which includes:
A complete health history review
Discussion of your health goals and expected treatment outcomes
Education on how acupuncture Chinese medicine can help you with your health goals
Treatment plan, including the number and frequency of treatments and when you may expect to see changes
Acupuncture treatment and other therapies as appropriate, such as cupping, herbal formulation or dietary counseling.
Appointment Checklist
Eat something before your appointment
Wear or bring loose clothing
Arrive 15 minutes early for first appointment paperwork
Compile a list of current medications
Bring relevant medical records, labs, and reports
Allow 120 minutes for your first visit, and 60 minutes for return appointments
