Dr. Girish G P is currently working as Dean (Academics) and Associate Professor (Finance) at ICFAI Business School (IBS) Bengaluru, Off-Campus Centre of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (a Deemed to-be-University under Sec. 3 of UGC Act 1956), Hyderabad, India. His professional experience spans over a period of 15+ years in Academia, Consultancy and Research. He was a Visiting Research Scholar at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia and also pursued a semester of his MBA in Adelaide, Australia under complete Scholarship (Study Abroad Program-IBS Adelaide- University of South Australia (UniSA)). 

Dr. Girish G P is a recipient of prestigious AIMS Ramaswamy P. Aiyar Best Young Teacher Award 2021 conferred by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) India at the 32nd AIMS Annual Convention, August 2021 which is the largest networking body of B-Schools and is the official representative of Indian Management Schools in India with many top class institutions as Members like IIMs, ISB, ASCI, Xavier Institutions, ICFAI, Welingkar, NMIMS, MDI, S P Jain etc. Dr. Girish G P is also a recipient of IBSAF Best Faculty Guide Award for 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2023. Dr. Girish G P received "Excellence in Research" Award in Sep 2024 - IFHE Off-Campus Centre. He delivered Keynote Talk in the prestigious International Conference on Innovative Applied Energy held in University of Oxford, UK in March 2019. He was the Session Chair at the 6th International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Optimization, Hua Hin. He delivered Keynote Talk at the at the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Optimization, Cambodia in Oct 2023 and also received EasyChair Championship Reviewer Award 2023 . He has consultancy exposure with organizations such as Cognizant Technologies, SeAH Steel - Republic of Korea, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, Tortoise Advisory LLP, ReNew Power, Climate Connect and for MGNCRE, MHRD, Government of India. 

Dr. Girish G P has published 56 Research papers in International Journals [over 38 Research Papers in SCOPUS Indexed Journals and Others in ABDC/ERA/WoS/ABS Indexed Journals].  He is a Reviewer/Guest Referee for world renowned Journals such as Energy Journal (IAEE, USA), Energy Policy (Elsevier, UK), International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems (Elsevier, Netherlands), Energy Strategy Reviews (Elsevier, Netherlands), International Journal of Green Energy (Taylor & Francis, USA), Cogent Business and Management (Cogent OA-Taylor & Francis, UK), Distributed Generation and Alternative Energy Journal (River, Denmark) and International Journal of Economics and Finance (Canada). Dr. Girish G P is on the Editorial Board of Energy and Environmental Research (Canada) and is also Editor-in-Chief for ICFAI University Press (IUP) Journal of Applied Finance.
