PART I. NARRATIVE STRUCTURE/ RHETORICAL STRATEGY FILM ANALYSIS
In part one, you will view the film trailer above: Willow. Afterward, you will zoom in on particular archetypes that emerge within the narrative. Finally, you will incorporate the archetypes you identified into a review of the film. The review should be 1-2 paragraphs in which you speak specifically --- either positively or negatively --- about the way that the film's writers were or were not successful as they embedded archetypes into the narration.
Here is a list of archetypes for you to consider.
PART II. VISUAL IMAGERY/ IDEOLOGY FILM ANALYSIS
In part two, you will view another film trailer: The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. Afterward, you will identify visual elements that make the film stand out. Finally, you will explain how these visual elements build together into a particular point of view/ ideological perspective. (Ideology is a set of beliefs.) How do visual effects impart particular belief systems on an audience? Your explanation should be 1-2 paragraphs in which you speak specifically about the intersection of visual elements and ideology to persuade an audience.
Here is a list of visual elements for you to consider.
