Profile
I'm an observational astronomer studying galaxy evolution. My research interests include 1) the formation and early evolution of galaxies during the epoch of reionization (redshift z ~ 6 and beyond; the first billion years), 2) dust-obscured galaxies and quasars at cosmic noon (z ~ 1-3), and 3) cold gas in active galactic nuclei, star formation, and secular evolution in nearby galaxies. Much of my work is based on observations of molecular and atomic gas using radio telescopes such as the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. After graduating from the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, I moved to Japan in late 2008 to pursue graduate studies in observational astrophysics. I completed my master's and PhD at the University of Tsukuba, and have since continued my research and teaching career in Japan. Outside of work, I enjoy mountaineering and exploring the local scenery and countryside.
