Profile
I'm an observational astronomer studying how galaxies evolve over cosmic history. My research focuses on 1) formation and early evolution at the epoch of reionization (redshift z ~ 6 and beyond; the first billion years), 2) star formation and quasar activity at cosmic noon (z ~ 1-3), and 3) morphology, star formation, and secular evolution in nearby galaxies. I graduated from the University of Novi Sad in my home town in Serbia, and then moved to Japan in late 2008 to pursue graduate studies in observational astrophysics. I completed my master's and PhD at the University of Tsukuba, and have since continued my research and teaching activities in Japan. In my free time, I enjoy mountaineering and exploring the local scenery and countryside.
