Welcome,
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher and Interim Professor of Development Economics at University of Göttingen. My research combines economic modeling with empirical methods to study topics across development economics, information economics, and agricultural and environmental economics. I am particularly interested in how information frictions and departures from rational expectations shape economic decisions and development outcomes. My recent work encompasses areas such as technology adoption, climate adaptation, agricultural productivity, information regulation, regional integration, and policy evaluation.
Prior to my current position I was an Assistant Professor of Economics at University College Dublin. I obtained my PhD in 2018 from the Graduate School of Economics, Finance, and Management (GSEFM) at Goethe University Frankfurt, after studying mathematics and economics at TU Dortmund University, Complutense University of Madrid, and University of Iowa. I also hold a graduate diploma in international relations from the University of London (LSE).
I have taught at universities in Germany, France, Ireland, China, Korea, and South Africa. I also regularly share my expertise by providing policy advice to international organizations and NGOs, including the World Bank, EBRD, Asian Development Bank, UNU-CRIS, and African Center for Economic Transformation.
Here you can find my CV and details on my research, teaching, and policy work.
