I am an assistant professor at New York University Shanghai (NYU Shanghai). I received my PhD in philosophy from the University of Toronto in 2021. Prior to coming to NYU Shanghai I was an instructor at the University of Manitoba.

I specialize in 18th century German philosophy, with an emphasis on Kant's theoretical philosophy. My main aim is to use the formal tools of analytic philosophy to present reconstructions of Kant's ideas and arguments that allow us to more clearly evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.

My other research interests include metaphysics, logic, and the history of analytic philosophy. I am especially interested interested in questions about how our choice of theoretical concepts affects our attitude towards specific philosophical questions.
