Introduction

This section presents individual monographs submitted to the DLOY archives for inclusion on line. The initiative was introduced in late 2014 to enhance the personal detail of the archives and possibly capture material which otherwise was not currently collected by the museum in Preston. 

By their nature the monographs are personal and thus capture moments of service as recorded by the individual. The personal story always brings with it added interest and attraction and provides a unique view into service life. Each monograph appears under its own heading and may include photographs which would otherwise not appear in our regimental history. Consequently the trustees and the the museum are grateful to the contributors.
