My primary research area is biomolecular computing and algorithmic self-assembly, although I also have a broad interest in automata theory, computability, and formal languages. My recent work has focused on tile models of molecular self-assembly, particularly on DNA based tiling, recursion and self-similar growth.
I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics in May 2015 with Natasha Jonoska at USF as part of the Discrete and Topological Models for DNA Assembly research group.
