2007 Ford Expedition towing the 1930 Model A Truck.
Amazing improvements in 77 years!
The engine was a water-cooled L-head inline four with a displacement of 201 cu in (3.3 l). This engin provided 40 hp (30 kW; 41 PS). Top speed was around 65 mph (105 km/h).
Sounds great!!
Removed from the truck to diagnose the problem.
As you can see, there were several teeth broken on the ratcheting mechanism!
The original brake handle was refinished and all new working parts were replaced.
Previous owner installed aftermarket tail lights using incorrect brackets and installed in the wrong location.
After rewiring the entire truck, OEM teacup style tail lights and brackets were installed. In 1930, the Model A Truck left the factory with only one tail light on the driver side and no turn signals!
Wiring harness module that mounts to the end of the steering column.
Left one is before steel wood and a little bit of elbow grease. The one on the right is after a little buffing.
