Welcome to the Hamilton Lab

We are field ecologists, examining community-level interactions between birds, invertebrates, and primary producers in intertidal systems. Work is focused primarily on mudflats in the upper Bay of Fundy and rocky intertidal systems in the outer Bay of Fundy. Additional present and past research interests include stopover ecology of shorebirds, foraging behaviour of shorebirds and waterfowl, salt marsh ecology, and interactions between sea ducks and blue mussel aquaculture operations. See our research page for more information on current and recent projects.
