The progress history so far :
Initial comparisons were planned for mid-2023 and later postponed to October 2023 (with an expected ~1 million positions, which has not yet been reached).
Update (2023-11-08): Comparisons remained impractical. The book’s width, the lack of a clearly suitable comparison baseline, and the cost of large-scale testing outweighed the expected benefit at this stage.
Update (2025-03-15): Instead of increasing the number of positions, computational effort was shifted toward improving the absolute strength of the book.
Update (2026-01-01): Evaluation of the book’s monthly evolution, based on accuracy measured on the source games, is in progress.
