Research

Currently working for my PhD at IIT Madras in the Experimental Soft Materials Laboratory, Department of Physics.

Polymer Blends and Nanocomposites for Improved Dielectric, Mechanical Properties for Energy Harvesting Applications (Ph.D. Thesis work):

These are the publications that obtained from my research

  1. Influence of Microstructure on the Nanomechanical Properties of Polymorphic Phases of Poly(vinylidene fluoride)
  2. Evolution of morphology, ferroelectric, and mechanical properties in PVDF– P(VDF-TrFE) blends
  3. PVDF - Formvar blends: dielectric, miscibility and mechanical studies
  4. Enhancement of dielectric and ferroelectric properties in cobalt ferrite doped poly(vinylidene fluoride) multiferroic composites

Glass transitions in confined ultra-thin polymer films (Currently working):

We are currently working on understanding the complex phenomenon that take place during the phase transition.

Our contribution is threefold:

  • Understanding the behavior of polymers under confinement
  • Physics behind the formation of glassy state and the factors influencing during this transition
  • It's application in the Industrial and Medical fields

Airborne multi-parameter geophysical surveys (M.Tech Project work):

We carried multi-parameter Airborne Geophysical surveys at Tatanagar (Jharkand) as part of mineral exploration.

Mineral Exploration Survey

The Methods that were carried out in the airborne geophysical survey:

  • Time Domain Electromagnetic
  • Magnetic
  • Radiometric

As a Project Assistant at National Geophysical Research Institute

  • Carried seismological data processing and interpretation of teleseismic (Broad band) data using Receiver Function analysis for the estimation of subsurface structures and epicentral location
  • Participated in several Mineral Exploartion (Multiparameter Airborne Geophysical) surveys
