Linux Images

The following blog post explains the images created while kernel compilation.

Here are few more things.

• The first vmlinx image in the diagram is elf image, and will be generated at the top directory.
• The uImage is created by "mkimage" from u-boot. Simply, uImage = u-boot header + zImage.
• In the linked blog post, "vmlinuz" should be "./arch/arm/boot/compressed/vmlinx".
