Luigi Catello is a Ph.D. student in Modeling and Engineering Risk and Complexity at Scuola Superiore Meridionale.
He graduated in Automation and Robotics Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in 2025, with a thesis entitled "Learning-Based Multiscale Shepherding Control for Multi-Agent Complex Systems", under the supervision of Prof. Mario di Bernardo.
His current research interests include multiscale control, large-scale complex systems, and scientific machine learning. His Ph.D. project, entitled "Certified Cross-Scale Bridges for Multiscale Control of Large-Scale Multi-Agent Systems via Physics-Informed Learning and Neural Operators", is supervised by Prof. Mario di Bernardo (Scuola Superiore Meridionale and University of Naples Federico II), Prof. Costantinos Siettos (University of Naples Federico II), and Dr. Davide Salzano (University of Naples Federico II). The project aims to develop robust methodologies for bridging the gap between different descriptive scales in large-scale multi-agent complex systems.
Preprints:
