Short bio
Agostino Guarino is a PhD student in Information Technologies and Electrical Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II, under the supervision of prof. Mario di Bernardo.
His research deals with the field of Synthetic Biology; in particular, the two main topics are the external control of microbial populations and the developement of a novel type of bioreactor for multicellular in vivo control experiments.
He got his Master Degree in Automation Engineering cum laude in 2017, after an internship in the section of Control of Cryogenic Facilities at CERN (Geneva). He also worked at the University of Bristol under the supervision of prof. N. Savery, prof. C. Grierson, prof. M. di Bernardo and Dr. L. Marucci.
