DIA services to the public during emergencies

Our Wellington counter at 109 Featherston Street remains closed. A new temporary counter to service Birth, Death, Marriages and Passports has been set up at Lower ground floor, National Library of New Zealand, Aitken Street entrance, corner Aitken and Molesworth Streets.

Our call centre is operating on a limited basis so please only make contact with us if your query is urgent.

We encourage customers to use our online services where possible as these are operating as usual and we are not aware of any issues with meeting standard delivery times.

All Community Operations offices are open as usual so please contact your local office rather than our contact centre for any queries.

Any Registered Charity with concerns over filing their Annual Return should email CharitiesService-Info@dia.govt.nz.

The National Library is open as per usual opening hours.

Archives New Zealand's Wellington building (Mulgrave Street) re-opens to the public on Tuesday, 24 January 2017. For further information on the building status and current service delivery issues, please visit www.archives.govt.nz. The Archives Regional Offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin are open as usual.
