Principal Investigator - Dr. Dhiman Mallick

Biosketch:

Dr. Dhiman Mallick is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), New Delhi, India. He is a recipient of the Young Faculty Incentive award at IIT Delhi. Before that, he was a post-doctoral researcher at Tyndall National Institute, Ireland (2017-18). He received B.Sc. in Physics (Hons.) from University of Calcutta in 2007, followed by B.Tech. (post-graduate) and M.Tech. degrees in Radio Physics and Electronics Engineering from University of Calcutta in 2010 and 2012, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork in February 2017. He received DST (Govt. of India) INSPIRE faculty award in 2018. During PhD, he received IEEE Student travel grant for INTERMAG conference and Tyndall National Institute bursary award for best post-graduate student. As a faculty at IIT Delhi, he has been able to bring more than 10M INR competitive research grant in less than two years of time.

His research interests include M/NEMS energy harvesting, magnetic, magnetoelectric, piezoelectric sensors and transducers, micro-power Management and nonlinear phenomena in M/NEMS. Till date, he has authored/co-authored ~50 published articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, one book chapter and one global patent. Dr. Mallick is a member of IEEE. He was recognized as an invited speaker and expert at the 2017 domain workshop of the EU H2020 NEREID Coordination and Support Action entitled “Nano Electronics Roadmap for Europe: Identification and Dissemination” in the session “Energy for Autonomous Systems”. Presently, he is serving as a technical reviewer of a number of reputed journals and conferences.
