FCD-DF is my front end software.
Doppler-DF software links with FCD-DF to provide Doppler shift correction when receiving satellites.
FCD-DF is my front end software. It include features such as Scanning, Memory buttons, Frequency correction, FCD settings, etc
Requires v18f firmware.
To program a button:
1 - Set the required frequency.
2 - Hold Ctrl Key down and left click on required button.
3 - Enter button text (optional).
4 - Press Tab Key.
5 - Enter Norad satellite catalogue number (optional).
6 - Press Tab Key.
To clear a button:
Hold Ctrl and Shift keys down and left click on button.
Frequency Offset:
This allows you to move the displayed frequency away from the Center Spike.
Frequency correction:
This calibrates the FCD.
Step Time:
Used when scanning.
CAT:
This is used to synchronise HDSDR decode software via a virtual COM port (I use ‘com0com’ but there are others). If you are using ‘Frequency Offset’ you will need to set the ‘set LO <-> Tune Offset’ in the ‘Misc Options’ menu on HDSDR to the same but negative value. i.e. -10 kHz on FCD-DF and 10000 on HDSDR.
Doppler-DF software links with FCD-DF to provide Doppler shift correction when receiving satellites. The program requires that you have the widows version of the excellent ‘Gpredict’ by Alexandru Csete installed.
The main purpose of 'Doppler-DF' is to link with 'FCD-DF'. It provides 'FCD-DF' with doppler frequency correction. Before a '.sat' file can be selected via 'FCD-DF', 'Doppler-DF' must learn were the '.sat' files are stored. This is done by selecting a '.sat' manually from the 'Satellite' menu. Once done it will remember next time. Do not forget to set your location in the 'Location' menu.
