About me

I am a professor of mathematics at Universidad del Cauca (Popayán, Colombia), affiliated with the MATDIS research group (Discrete Mathematics and Applications). My work focuses on network science, with an emphasis on structural properties of complex and dynamic networks, homophily and modularity in directed networks, and anomalous event detection in heterogeneous networks, an area in which I have publications and have participated in international and local conferences. I have served as principal investigator and co-investigator on several research projects in these areas, and I supervise undergraduate, master's, and doctoral theses. In addition, I also work on Sidon sets and their applications.
