Fundraising for the Band Program

Dexter Band Boosters organizes fundraising activities and events throughout the year in support the Band program that serves students in grades 5-12. Funds raised by Boosters support a wide spectrum of Band program and Band student activities, including: supplemental classroom instruction, equipment purchases, instrument maintenance and repairs, staff enrichment, Summer Music Camp Student Scholarships and more.


DHS Marching Band Camp occurs each Summer, usually in late July, and costs approximately $450-500 per student. Band Camp, while voluntary, is attended by nearly every Band student, beginning in the Summer prior to 9th Grade and through the Summer prior to 12th Grade.

DHS Band Trips occur every other year, with a full Marching Band Disney Trip every four years and a Symphonic Band trip every four year staggered in between Disney trips. Costs for Band Trips vary, but generally range from $700-$1,500 per student.
