After 30 years helping farmers with Integrated Pest Management and organic pest management, I have mostly retired, but not quite. I still offer some limited consulting.
What I will do
Answer questions by phone or email.
Identify pests, natural enemies and other critters in photos.
Make occasional visits to farms to investigate and point out things to look for.
Teach people scouting skills and pest management methods.
Attempt to solve unusual problems.
What I will not do
Make frequent, routine farm visits to leave reports.
Write recommendations.
Charges
$100 per year to answer questions from home.
Large farms with frequent questions might pay more.
$55 per hour, including driving, to visit the farm.
I may negotiate lower prices for new PCAs starting their own business.
$20 for a one-time question.
Sometimes waived.
