DesMoiNTrak is an N scale modular railroad club located in Des Moines, Iowa. We are a non-profit organization. We currently have 20 members, several who are pictured above.
DesMoiNTRAK club started in 1984. We will celebrate 40 years of public modular model railroad displays in 2024. We are designated a SuperClub based on our club's 100% membership in the National NRail organization. Our club supports both NTRAK and T-TRAK model layouts. In 2024 our club meets at 7pm on the second Thursday of the month. Club events and shows are listed on our calendar in this web page.
In the meantime, our club will be participating in the Operation Lifesaver program by creating small modules displaying dangerous activities around railroads. Look for them sometime later in 2023.
West Des Moines Public Library January 2023
Above picture is from our January 2023 2-day show at the West Des Moines Public Library. 1,100 future railroaders enjoyed the show. We had a scavenger hunt for entertainment and it was enjoyed by all. Operation Lifesaver participated with information and prizes for the kids.
