SESSION TITLE: Beyond the Numbers: Relationship-Building for Financial Professionals with Dale Carnegie  

TUESDAY, April 21, 2026 / 11:30am-1:00pm

LOCATION:  Grand Room at 801 Grand - 3rd Floor of Skywalk

Lunch will be ordered from Chipotle Mexican Grill for all registered attendees.   Because meals are prepared specifically based on your request, anyone who registers but does not attend will be responsible for the cost of their lunch.  

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

This workshop will explore the art of conversation using Dale Carnegie's timeless principles. We'll dive into conversation links and blend them with effective networking strategies to build meaningful connections. 

By the end of this sessions participants will be able to: 

1. Understand and apply conversation links to foster engaging dialogues. 

2. Develop attentive listening skills to enhance interpersonal relationships.

3. Learn networking tips to create lasting professional connections. 

4. Practice open-ended questioning to stimulate dynamic conversations. 

About the AFWA Des Moines Chapter:
The AFWA Des Moines Chapter meets monthly at various venues across the Metro, typically from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month. Attend to network, enjoy lunch, and engage in professional development opportunities. Members and guests are welcome!
