With over 49 years of experience and 23 years in business Design Tech Assoc, Inc. is changing it's focus on Land Surveying Services to also include lending a hand to the clients who have been with us throughout the years in the Building and Construction Industries. We have put together several ways and means to approach this with most of them very cost effective as well as some being free to existing clients and new projects!
We appreciate all the work our clients send us. In an effort to give back we are working on ways and means to best make use of the services we provide. There are a couple of areas that we've added that we are very excited about. We now have storage of our site documents on Google's Cloud Drive, all of which can be accessed by our clients or any of their site superintendents. Mistakes can be costly. By using our supplied Calculator and Field Case with Levels Program & Field Book your crews can be more accurate and will maintain a record of what was done in case of any problems. Your field personnel probably already place grade stakes with cuts and fills on your sites so we have created a Levels Program to make it a lot easier to do with entry of Benchmarks, Grades, and Sub-Grades showing Cuts and/or Fills to Finished Grades and/or Sub-Grades and an Inches to Feet calculator to help with converting single dimensions in Feet, Inches and Fractions of Inches as well as keeping a running total of ALL of the lengths entered into the calculator to check the overall lengths of buildings. We also include a Field Book to record your Levels and Grades thereby giving you a written record of your work. These programs are for use by your field personnel, which will be free to use, calculator, belt case and program included, on any new projects awarded to us! Also have you ever considered using GPS machine control on your sites? If you have you know that the start-up costs are very expensive and run into six figures as well as having to pay someone to create a DTM or digital terrain model of the site for use in the GPS control system's on-board computer which adds thousands of dollars to the cost of EVERY project. We have a better solution to this which we call LPS or Local Positioning Systems. This system Is very cost effective for our clients because the start-up cost is super low, under $5,000, and we think there are some site superintendents that can utilize the system efficiently as they are already laying out points on the site by scaling the site plans. Why not take it to the next level and have them layout some of the site for construction? This system consists of a Total Station Construction Grade Instrument with on-board software, to stakeout points on your sites with the stakeout worksheets we can prepare for your personnel at a very cost effective price compared to a usual Survey stakeout contract to layout a site. Think about it, even if you layout a part of the site on MULTIPLE projects you'll save enough money to pay for this system many times over be more self sufficient, and won't have to fret over when someone else's crew will be on-site to do the work, after all your guys are already on-site every day.
