Web-conferencing is available via Zoom!
Web-conferencing lets you connect with anyone, anywhere, in real time. Zoom, the university's supported web conferencing platform, combines desktop sharing through a web browser with audio and/or video capabilities, so participants can meet virtually synchronously. Zoom's web-based conferencing is accessible on MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android mobile devices. Anyone in the world can join a Zoom meeting, while a host can start/create meetings.

Viewing Scheduled Meetings in LMS
If your instructor intends to use Zoom, you will likely see a direct link to it on your course menu. If not, they will personally distribute the link to you. When students access Zoom via LMS, they will view any meetings scheduled for that course regardless of instructor.
Joining a Meeting
When it is time for the scheduled meeting, students and instructors can access the Zoom meeting similarly.
In the LMS course site, click the Zoom link on the course menu
Next to the scheduled meeting, click Join to launch Zoom and join the meeting.
Setting Up Your Microphone and/or Video
Your instructor may encourage active participation and questions from the students attending class live through Zoom. Check your microphone settings so that others can hear you and select Start Video on the taskbar to display your video (optional).
Sharing Your Screen
Depending on your instructor, you may be asked to share your screen during class.
Select Share Screen on the Zoom taskbar.
Select Desktop and then select Share Screen.
Moving Zoom Taskbar
Once you are sharing your screen, your Zoom taskbar moves to the top of the screen.
You can re-position the taskbar to the bottom of the screen by selecting the Dock to Bottom arrow as shown below.
Using Chat
You can use the chat function to talk to other meeting participants.
Test your Connection
Highly recommended! Test your Zoom connection and equipment.
