ABOUT US
Founded in the early 1990s, the Delaware Repertory Dance Company has established itself as the one of the leading dance companies at the University of Delaware. With over 40 members, we are an eclectic group of dancers with a wide array of talent ranging from tap, ballet, and jazz to lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and modern. We are 100% student run; our classes are student taught, dances are choreographed by students, and our spring show is student produced. We participate in numerous on campus events including UDance, Campus Breakout, Blue and Gold Days, ONE, Top Model, Relay for Life and ISA's Fashion Show.
CLASSES
In the Fall, DRDC holds open classes for all disciplines and at levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Class schedules will be posted on our events page, social media accounts, and StUDent Central. Anyone is welcome to teach or attend! If you are interested in teaching a class, contact our VP of Dance Education at abbysev@udel.edu
CHOREOGRAPHY
Our spring showcase is choreographed entirely by students. Anyone willing and able is encouraged to choreograph, including freshman. For your piece to be eligible, choreographers must submit an additional audition. We strongly encourage you to audition your piece!
AUDITIONS
DRDC 2021-2022 auditions are now closed. If you have been accepted, you do not need to re-audition again. Choreographers choose dancers for pieces in a mutual selection process. Be sure to join our email list for the most up-to-date information on the audition process.
