I am a professor of economics at the University of Zurich, and an associate professor of economics at Brandeis University (on leave). I am also an affiliate of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the Global Priorities Institute. I am a co-organizer of the virtual seminar series Normative Economics and Economic Policy, an editor of Economics & Philosophy, and an Associate Editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics.

My primary research areas are  normative economics and macroeconomics.
