Dr. Debabrata Hazra completed his PhD at The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara (an Institution of National Importance, set up by an Act of Parliament of India). Dr Hazra joined K L Deemed to be university (NAAC A++, category 1 university declared by UGC, NIRF 28) on 1st July 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. His schooling was in Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan (a Central University, founded by Rabindranath Tagore). He obtained his BA in English Honors from the University of Burdwan, (NAAC Accredited ‘A+’ Grade University) West Bengal, MA in English Language and Literature from the Central University of South Bihar, Patna (NAAC Accredited ‘A++’ Category 1 University & set up by an Act of Parliament of India), and M.Phil. in Diasporic Literature from the Central University of Gujarat (set up by an Act of Parliament of India), Gandhinagar. He is now the Coordinator of KL Global Writing Centre and Director of PAI North India. Dr. Hazra has attended and presented more than twenty-five scholarly papers at National and International Conferences. He has recently visited Malaysia to present a research paper at an international conference fully funded by IIIT Vadodara. He holds a few publications that have appeared in a few reputed edited books. He has two books to his credit. His research interests are English Literature, Science Fiction, Gender Studies, Diaspora Studies and Bengali Literature.
